Recently started diving into MHW 3 bomber products and I've just ordered this scale after watching your review. The r3 grinder was the main item I wanted to know more about but I stumbled on this video yesterday. I will most likely get one, so I'm excited for the grinder review. I use a dumb cheap 10$ scale for espresso and pour over. No mathematics to do and more money left to buy vodka and relax ;) I’m not in the market for smart scale, for me it’s useless. Great video as always and entertaining !

@@mycoffeeshow111 I understand, a slow responding scale is very annoying. The cheap scale I use seems to respond faster than the “cheap” smart scale. Acaia seems the best for fast responses, but they are pricey.

@@mycoffeeshow111 btw, don’t know if you know, there is a relatively new bluetooth scale. Bookoo, compatible with Decent and also a pressure sensor is available. Dunno if the products are good, but seems to be the cheapest option for pressure/flow profile captured data with basic manual lever machines.

Timemore scale have the same problem. You can't pickup brewer during brewing process because it stops timer. It only happens when using auto mode. With manual timer everything is ok

Smart scales…over rated. It just needs to do one job, weighing. If it has a timer even better. If it auto starts upon brewing excellent. Any other option on a scale is fluff and unnecessary.

The time more is better for pour over it shows flow rate in grams per second and it has smart modes. The normcore is great for espresso it’s small and also has smart modes if you want to use those. This 3 bomber with the ratio is too weird for me

This scale SUCKS Jack. It does NOT have the BASIC!! All we need as a function is to start timer automatically at the first drip and weigh. Or manual with user to start timer. But NOOO...they force you to use ONE scale for grind and espresso machine. Who in the right mind moves the same scale from grinder area to drip tray?? STUPID!! Angle is the only reason to pay more for scale? I think not. This is not a smart scale. The ratio reading is also stupid. The size is fine for me. And I like the angle, and overall look. I am returning mine. Save your money, the Maxus is better. It also has a auto start but not often detected. The other one is Bagail. One is 17$ and the other less than 30.

@@philindeblanc I tried to be very honest in my review. The basic functions are ok and I still use it for pour overs but the so called smart modes are not perfect. Next week I’ll be reviewing different scale which may interest you.

Timemore and Normcore for filter, searchpean tiny s2 for espresso - works fine and very reasonably priced.
