I'd have to disagree with that statement that "nobody cares". If you scroll down in comments to many of my videos you will consistently see players saying things like: I just bought the game or they missed events and equipment that is later required to be upgraded in Iceborne. Interesting fact: Around 15 million players bought MHW but roughly only 5 million of them went on to buy Iceborne. Many reasons for that no doubt but there is still a large number of players stuck in the base game.

In MHWi what weapon do you main and like the most?

Hard question as the situation/monster will often impact on that decision. For hard monsters that friends struggle with i liked supporting them on SnS support builds or Hunting Horn. For solo/duo i like Dual blades, Bowguns, Long Sword and bows. I'm experienced in all 14 weapons as i think they are well implemented and fun to use.

You're probably missing the coral crimson bone and elder dragonvein bone from the guiding lands. Farm them and check again.

It's under the "augment" tab at the smithy. I didn't do anything specific to unlock it but then it was added after i was already well into Iceborne so i can't be sure that i didn't already have a pre-req done.

You need to have the Iceborne expansion and you can only do it with Master Rank weapons from Iceborne. It's under the augment tab at the smithy.
