We need reflective guard, or guard move that deflect damages back to monster (like those war scenes of spear wall vs cavalries)

Nah just buff lance dmg by 20% and the weapon is fine. The ratios for dmg is so trash on lance... A min/max DB set hits around 80 per swing with like 20 of those in 5sec. A lance does 100-140 per poke on average. You do the math, it´s not even close. Db is the highest dps melee weapon in the game but still the difference is a joke.

I'm trying to learn which monsters to avoid (since I haven't got a Guard-up deco, and I hate Uragaan). Also, have you ever considered making a complete guide to learning and mastering Lance? I actually learnt Gunlance first because it seemed like a similar weapon, but without the intimidating power-guard, counter-guard, guard-point memorizations. Until I realized that they play very differently.

@@LoncusZhao my behemoth video explains the best DPS combo and honestly my lance videos really show a lot of special moves and tactics, the alatreon fight i end up using everything I've learned. As for unblockable attacks Lunastras flame wind (standard attacks) Kulve fire breath Kushala mega wind breath Shara Ishvda sound attacks Vaals breath Alatreon's direct damage attacks such as the frost breath and fire breath in the AOE Black Diablos super charge Velkhana ice breath Teostra nova bomb and hind leg fire breath shooting down at the floor Kirins lines/grids of lightning All rathalos pins Uragaan/Radobaan farts Safi lasers (I think?) And then examples of monsters who will pin you regardless if you have guard up: Savage Deviljho, Zinogre. There's probably more that I've missed but that's pretty much it.

From what i have heared from all of the discords is that raw build +ele weapon is the best in most cases. Teo set bonus and agi 7 (pretty much raw meta) + swap weapon for ele weakness. You loose a bit of base weapon raw and blast procs for around 20 more dmg per poke. Don´t take this as fact... i´m just a swaxe, CB main! xD

Hello! I finally understand why people do that clutch claw trick! I always thought attack boost sweet spot would be 4. How important is max attack boost in those builds?

By removing an attack jewel and then testing the build, you'll notice the damage goes down by about one or 2 damage. Depending on whom I'm fighting I will adjust the build by removing those 3 attack decos at the bottom.

That's a health regen augment. Are you high rank or master rank? You need to be MR100 to augment rariety 12 weapons.

Augments are different from gems and armour, you need to farm up materials on the guiding lands in master rank to the have health regen on your weapons. In High rank to augment high rank weapons you need to do tempered investigations (T3's preferably)

I've tried out your ele builds and I'm wondering, what if I swapped ele decos for +1 attack boost and agi charm. I guess that build would be better against more raw oriented monsters and it would combo well with offensive guard because it only boosts raw attack. I saw that kind of build in alatreon speedruns for example. What's your take on this? What build would be better for more casual play? From what I've tested myself if a monster has a 30 EHZV the build with ele decos comes up on top but what if it's 25 or even 20, haven't tested that out yet.

Unfortunately I'm big dummy when it comes element for lances, I'm always doing research but being clung to raw damage for so long trying to understand element again is taking some time.

@@thecrungler4629 Best rule of thumb for elemental damage, since it does flat damage, is attack speed = how much you build into it. Fast hitting weapons like Bow and DB LOVE elemental while slow weapons like Lance and Greatsword will just equip an elemental weapon and stack mostly raw still.

Those shiny eyes are actually makeup, that's my face, not a layered. You can make makeup glow with the luminescent option when customizing your character in the house.

I know super old video but I’m getting back into world I doubt you’ll comment back but I don’t get the peak performance decos when blocking you take chip damage so you’re never gonna be at full health it’ll be so tedious trying to stay full other then that looks good.

Protective polish seems to be the direction that everything is going now because of the whetfish scale + quest. However it really depends on who you're fighting. Sometimes it's MT build needed, othertimes it's the pp build.

Those builds are looking nice although for the elemental lances (kjarr) I usually go 5piece safi, resentment charm, 2 double ele jewels, 2 single ele jewels, fit Weakness expolit and then I think I barley have room to fit in 3 levels of Gaurdian attack with guard 5 I think i can fit that I haven't gone on in a while last time I dabbled in elemental it was for At nam

great build, but u have to hit a WOUNDED WEAKSPOT otherwise, u not be able to do crit damage and u losing ur purple sharpness faster, for solo hunt, yes this is a good build, but for SoS group, its better to use a wexless build, because lance is very slow moving arround, the only way to catch up with monster weakspot(wounded) is by using the running lance move, whic u have to hit many spot that are not a weakspot and u will lose that 50% affinity from wex and if u are not doing a crit damage, u'll losing sharpness JUST to get into the monster's wounded weakspot.. who knows the monster will move again?, Lance is supposed to be do a constant damage overtime because how tanky it is in staying on one spot..but if accidentally cant hit the weakspot, u got damage loss and keep losing sharpness..

Indeed you're not wrong to a degree. Lazy fix is to just counter clutch claw the monster a ton, it's not that hard to get hit in multiplayer lol. In multiplayer I don't struggle to hard I can get either two areas tenderized tail and head or even leg, if it's a bipedal monster I will often target the leg to trip the monster as well.

You only use as much crit eye as you need, you dont need more if it puts your affinity over 100%. Acount for your weapons, affinity, and then take into acount about weakness exploit and things like attack 4 and agitator.

If ya find it to be better for you, edit this build for yourself. Seems a little rude to say that someone’s incredibly effective build is better off with Guard up when he literally has separate builds for that. The PP is there because there is most likely health augment on his Lance which compliments the Offensive Guard with the fact he can just keep healing with the HA and the increased damage from OG. He keeps the PP from the health from HA and gets extra damage from OG with guard points. Kinda seems like you didn’t actually analyze his build and how his skills go with each other.
