Dumb question, but why were you running Frostcraft instead of the normal Max Might LS set. From what I have seen in the video, frostcraft didn't proc much; but it's all an amazing run nevertheless!

Please don't say it's a dumb question. Firstly, thank you for watching! I am not good enough for ppl to seek advice from but here is my opinion. FS skill set provides naturally very effective counters against fire alatreon. It has ice dmg, coala, rescu and bonus Frostcraft dmg. My method of using Frostcraft is not the most optimal way as you can see. In a TA Wiki match, sometimes we have to attack without fully charging the FS spirit as we may not have enough opening. However, if you utilise mantles, clutch claw, you can have many chances to charge your FS spirit :) Sorry for long answer! Also, my build is not optimal as i only have one attack +4 jewel. otherwise, we can get +6 attack instead of +4

Im hesitant to go back to MHW due to 1. i really hate the mantles 2. im reading quite a lot of hate with clutch claw. I know i can play without the mantle but how about the clutch claw? i notice you only use it fully on the head at the start and the rest is more like a movement so that you can get close to the monster Good run and i like your outfit

Thank you very much! The clutch claw as you described is meant to get closer to Alatreon as well as reset the clagger animation. This gives us come window to perform full combo attack that translates the LS spirit to red. The beginning is to get it agitated to trigger agitator skill.

Frostcraft set in my opinion is the best set to fight against Fire Alatreon but it ultimately depends on each hunter's playstyle and thank you for watching!!

I use the same armor with Kjarr Fire/Ice LS yet I still clock at 10-11 minutes. Probably because I spam Spirit Helmbreaker than Iai Spirit Slash.

Oh Ofc! If you are playing evening star, equip ice weapon and fire weapon for dawn of death star! In this video, Frostcraft set is very good against fire Alatreon. You can equip health boost to minimise risk but suggest keep ice damage to as high as possible! My first time killing Alatreon solo, I tried very hard to always hit his front legs and head only. If you stay directly under him, you will only hit his abdomen which is too little damage and not a good investment. Stay at his side or front if you can. I did the hit > roll away > hit > roll away > hit on his front legs and managed to kill him solo. Ofc, the ultimate advice is learning the attack pattern but that takes time.
