Looks like this is really it. Tried a lot of times but still got this as my lowest. Even got the exact same time on the Ice Active. The pattern is getting clearer, and i actually managed to stagger him a few times, even landing a counter that made him fell back, like damn, its satisfying. Oh hey, I found this video again. Update: My friend and I've beaten Alatreon around the first week of January!! They were using a glaive and I was using a hammer. We were in really good harmony of alternating between mounting and knocking out Alatreon, but your video still helped me a lot in helping me get used to when to attack and evade. I've yet to solo this beast, but already feels good to have bested it with a friend. Thanks again!

I wanted to beat the last 2 monsters but it just feels like a cheap fight. Also my health augmentation seems almost worthless compared to base game. Im sure if i made a build with more survivability i would get him i just dont feel like grinding anymore. Everyone i know refuses to play the game anymore and i have been soloing everything. This feels like my dead end.

I did experiment a lot and watched a lot of other videos to memorize him. He is hard be he is a fair fight and as you can see from the video, has a lot of openings. Are you able to reach the elemental threshold? What seems to be the issue fighting him for you? If you are on PC, I will be able to help :)

@@lionhart3865 well i started fighting with elemental hammer but my build is a glass cannon. Dont really feel like farming a build for this dragon. I got to ice phase every now and then but he just eats me alive. It sucks because this was the first monster hunter i have ever played but due to the crazy amount of time needed to get items and armor to even compete against top tier monsters i think it will be the last i play. Maybe i will come back to it years from now and be inspired to grind more to get better decorations but im kind of losing interest. Its a love letter to the die hard fans but a spit in the face to new comers "you didnt learn the same monster attacks over the last 15 years of games? You're fucked then"

I've killed aletreon a lot now with friends and helped them kill them after I learned how to solo it also I've solo it and have killed it with a bow Everytime...people said that bow wasn't reliable or good but I said hold my dash juice 😂. It's nice to see this I have a friend who is a hammer main and Id like to see him go ham like you do great video.

@@OST1350 Here's tips first if you've unlocked guiding lands get your elemental up my guy, secondly I've crunched numbers it's doable with the silver rathalos armor if you're running that way but I'd recommend safi armor because soon as you draw your weapon your elemental is boosted. I recommend a dragon safi or aletreon weapon if not the a safi ice or fire weapon depending on what element he starts in, if you can break the horn and stop him from using your element use a fire or ice weapon if you cannot do that use a dragon so you can always deal elemental damage no matter the form because aletreon rotation goes fire dragon ice or ice dragon fire, dragon will always be the second and last form before the nuke Look up how to get all preparation drinks for felyne safeguard this skill is like felyne insurance except for its way easier to get and if you're lucky you can stack it with felyne insurance if you or a friend gets it and that's basically two free deaths before it starts adding up against you. Okay now like I said if you're rocking a dragon weapon which is honestly your best choice because you can use dragon proof mantle plus to further boost your elemental dragon damage and if you're using safi armor it will boost your elemental value for you just using the armor Everytime you draw your weapon so basically you get boosted twice. As far as the armor goes you should be rocking safi 3 pieces for blight resistance so he can't dragon blight you you will always deal elemental damage even if he hits you and he cant ailment status you with water or ice attacks so all you basically have to do is dodge heal and deal damage..the other pieces can be whatever but I'd recommend vaal hazaak head and legs because they give dragon attack 4 allowing you to use a decoration instead of a wyrmsbane charm you could use the charm space for something else. I'd honestly recommend health boost max for sure and since your using safi armor max medicine to level 3 so you always get a lot of health back on the last hit that gives you health back as the safi passive takes health Everytime you attack and returns health on the required number of hits depending on the weapon. Now onto mechanics, you'll simply have to get better at his attacks his lighting columns are easy the ones that are horizontal just sprint through them you're usually fast enough to get through it, if you can't do that run away from them and super man dive or out run them, the one he brings closer to his body just stick around his stomach and front leg lighting doesn't strike there, his flame attack he likes to do after he knocks you down just tap the get up button you should roll out of it before he could spam it. His red explosion just run away if he's on ground if he's in air anticipate it and superman dive when he tries it he's fast so be ready to hit the ground, if possible tho if the monster isn't enraged flash bang or get a flinch shot and put on a mantle so you don't get flung or messed up (a mantle like rock steady or temporal would do clutch claw his face and flinch shot to the ground opens free damage and a free knock) if you can't then just survive get your hits when ya can and punish him when he touches the ground. Your main focus should always be front and back legs front legs first but if you can't attack him because he's spamming or you just can't get to them attack back legs front and back legs are best elemental hit spots not horns don't touch those horns unless you've toppled and he's in dragon state because they can only be broken then and also even if you break horns if the handler doesn't tell you you're sealing his power good judgement will kill you. My last advice is tenderize his legs this makes him take a lot more elemental damage and also makes him flinch a lot more and stagger which has saved me and my teammates asses allowing us to rejoin the Frey after a heal and get that elemental topple so we can survive. I'd recommend running in a group who knows these things if they don't educate them like I did mine and they'll work in sync with you HAPPY HUNTING I play on PS4 so not sure if I could help but if by some chance you do I am more than willing to help out.

I feel like such a clown for using regular health potions to save myself from the escaton judgement. Turns out all I needed to do was eat a damn astera jerky and it's so much more effective.

Honestly I've seriously undervalued not only astera jerky but also using smokenut to get him on the ground asap. Would make other solo attempts a lot easier.

@@rileyman360 there are two times where he will flly. Its scripted. First flight is 3 minutes from the first element. Second flight is a few moments after he switches to dragon mode. This will cycle through the next element phase and so on. So what I did in this run is to force him to dragon mode before 3 minutes to skip the first flight. To force him to dragon mode, you need to bring down his HP to 50% in 3 minutes. :) So yeah that's some tips for you. :D

I always prefer to run a kjarr ice lance with his armor set on and the appropriate defense/frost/crit decos needed to bring the hurt. It's enough to get by, But if i'm gonna break him down to 50% in 3 minutes I'll probably have to swap off to a safi set, if I even can on lance. even still, just all this rudimentary knowledge about scripted flights and the astera jerky is already going to ease the pain, wonderful work and thanks for the help!

dem, my build is wrong. I used the teo/brachy set since i can get 600 elemental with kjarr hammer ice. I've been hitting him same in this video but it took me 15min to slay. Also, I didn't use the evasion mantle. I'll use your build this time and try to get a sub 10. Thanks man

@@MosheMalak both has good sides and bad sides. Kjarr Hammer - less raw but better element plus critical element, this will make alatreon topple easier. If you check my channel, I have a 7 minute run where I used the same hammer and was able to topple (reach elemental threshold) Alatreon twice. I would say this is the comfier option since this guarantees a topple, hence, you survive from Escaton Judgment. Safi Hammer - more raw but less element. No critical element. If you check my 8 minute Ice Alatreon runs, I used Safi Hellcrusher there and was only able to topple him once. When he will topple depends on your elemental value and your consistency of hitting him. I would say 500 fire with Safi hammer would topple him at least once before Escaton Judgment. Safi'jiiva wins for me, because I am already confident and comfortable with the fight. And I get a better time with it. Also, dont forget to give your cat an elemental weapon. It helps tremendously.

Its a clutch attack you can do after a level 3 charge. You can also do it after a level 2 charge (uppercut).

Let me compute.. Kjarr Hammer - 10% Attack Boost 4/7 - 5% 3pc Safijiiva Bonus - 20% Agitator 7 - 20% Crit Eye 2 - 10% Weakness Exploit 3 - 30% That's already 95%! Plus if I hit a tenderized part, +20% Im actually over the 100% affinity but I did that on purpose since Alatreon takes a bit long to reach the claw stagger animation.

I mean, they are just using the meta set for killing Alatreon. Even after killing Alatreon, it's still the best set for elem damages. So it was not done on purpose. If the best elem damages was full Fatalis, they would be using full Fatalis.

I dont believe he is standing still the whole time. Not flying even once!!! When i enter the area, he is in the air and always going of the opposite side of the map. Then i need to run like hell to get to him. Once im next to him, he goes on the other side of the map, again. And this is it, until he one-shot me with his power skill cuz i hit him max 3-4 times for 5 min.

Sad thing about time wipe mechanics are solo runs are almost always supposed to be full aggressive like this and less natural with evading attacks

I mean why is being aggressive sad? You're supposed to be aggressive. Even not as aggressive as this, you'll still make it. Check my new video where I only used two moves with a scuffed build and still made it. Also evading attacks is something that is learnable. Believe it or not, during the time of this video, this isnt even optimal yet.

Ur whole build there relies on a weakness affinity timer, ur attack buffs are timed. If u didnt have those stuff i doubt u make the nova cut with a more relaxed and drawn out playstyle. The damage windows also vary with how aggressive his attacks get-- and all that while ur running out of time so yeah u got to get things "right" doing solo because its near impossible surviving that nova. Its a time trial and time trials arent for everyone.
