No agitator, no resentment, no atk boost 4, no WEX, this is the strangest build I've seen so far in a speedrun. Would you mind explaining this choice? It was very very impressive

Namielle takes less damage when its enraged, resentment will have almost no uptime when he has health augment which is pretty much necessary due to the length of the fight and the chip damage namielle deals, atk 4 is active most of the time because he has mantles equipped majority of the fight and it's hard keeping nami tenderized the entire fight because of high clagger thresholds and the fact it's only tenderized for 80 seconds compared to the normal 90 seconds, its head doesn't even proc wex when its hydrated unless its tenderized.

Also with longsword you're going to hit the arms a lot, which take decent damage but you won't be able to sufficiently tenderize them.

Namielle's hitzones are utter shit when she's in water mode (colourful). The only (non-tenderized) part which procs W.exploit is Namielle's arms (not the head, the head is 40). Namielle takes 90% damage when enraged (unlike regular elder dragons, which take 120%) so overall, using Raw against Namielle is asking for trouble. This is made even worse for AT Namielle, since she is covered in water 99% of the time (as a mechanic). On the other hand, Water Namielle's elemental hitzone on her head is 40 for fire, compared to the usual 25 (which is already considered very good). Safi's set bonus also gives the affinity that's not available from Wexploit and Agitator. Kjarr firesword has inborn crit element, and Safi's armour also heavily boosts the element.

Great run as always! How does the raw dmg set compare vs. the max elemental dmg set? All runs I saw so far are fire weapons.

I think it's because AT Namielle has nice elemental hitzone values on the head (and maybe forearms?) when in it's hydrated state. Don't know, how to call it.. At least that's what I noticed. And AT Nami is mostly in this state so it makes sense to go for element in this case.

He's bypassing it with heal augment. Some attacks even heal him for more than the damage he takes. The healback becomes a nice bonus.

Sorry. What parry? There IS no parry on MHW Longsword. That's MHGU exclusive. The only defensive options LS has is the Iai and the Foresight. The move that looks like the parry, is the step in, and offers NO i-frames or guardpoints at all.

@@janlop1272 it's because self damage from safi armor set activates first, even if you miss while it's activated you still take damage I'm pretty sure, health regen on a weapon only activates if you hit the monster, so he would lose health but regain it right after
