Great video you are the reason I never give up DBs base world when I first started I couldn't do anything with them it was a struggle then I think it was your video where u soloed B52 or another one with DBs after seeing that made me not give on it today I can solo just about anything with them I'm not a speed runner tho lol

I learned some good stuff in this speedrun (I think). So do you go for the legs because of the elemental hitzones, the trip, lunastra's lack of moves focus at her hind legs or like a combination or something? And is the main goal to like pump dps into the wings because that's the best dps zone for melee/elemental?

@@CantaPerMe So hitting the back legs are the only way to trip Lunastra then? Also was curious why you shifted from attacking the wings to attacking the front legs when downed mid fight.

@@Rathadude I think wings are Lunastra's weakest zones and then comes the head and the front legs. And since he would have needed too much time to loop around for going for the wings he simply took the next weaker zone, which were the legs.

So people only hate lunastra because of her blue fire puddles and hit point zones right. I can agree with that no prob but I feel like when it comes to her move set I feel like she’s pretty cool. Maybe if they just nerfed the blue fire and her “nova” and also gave her legs good hit zone values she’d be a fun fight and all. Anybody else think that way or nah?

I just got this game a couple weeks ago and I cannot stand this "thing". Teostra is great, but this thing can go die in a hole. Every boss (except Behemoth) has been a pretty fun and easy time for me, I think it helped being a Dark Souls veteran... but this... I feel like I should just smash it with a GS or something for stuns... I'm only on the regular version, but I swear the optional quest for Lunastra alone is broken, the other 2 were fine (Teostra + Lunastra), but this one seemed to hit like a truck even though I had 544 defense and 54 fire resistance (I literally kept checking like I was going crazy that she was doing 3x damage). I didn't die, but I had to eject to camp once. Did they lower her power for the duo missions?

Hey canta. I saw you on peppo's video. Although I think Lunastra is a bit overtuned, I still way more prefer her world rendition because at least here her fight is unique, and totally not a teostra clone back in FU. I wouldn't say her fight in FU was better like you said, cause first of all, FU didn't age well. The glaringly bad monster ai and limited moveset as well as her fight being identical to teo made for a completely BORING and uncharacteristic fight. I wish she was added in 4u alongside teostra, cause that's when they really polished up teostra and gave it most of what we're familiar with in world. Imagine how they could have reimagined her fight back then, instead of designing her in world to be as aoe-spammy as she is right now

@@Rathadude To be fair Windproof and Heatguard help out tremendously. But even whit, shes not good.

@@Sunaki1000 They do but I shouldn't have to sacrifice say 5 lvls of agitator for 5 lvls of a defensive skill like windproof just to make one attack consistently survivable imo. Without windproof lvl 5 it's pretty much a coin toss if you live or die as you have to pray you can put your weapon away and get off a dive evade before the first wave of wind pressure hits. Not only that it annoys me that I'm running that much of a utility skills l not to counter the monster as a whole but literally to counter a single move. Running blast resistance against R. Brachydios by comparison only requires 3 lvls of a skill and it actually benefits you the whole fight. But of course as you said she has other glaring issues as well even without the nova that make her so anti fun.

@@Rathadude Not just one Attack, most of her Heatwaves use Wind. A big Downside is its expensive. 5 lv 3 Slots thats just Madness. A good Trick is, try to Clutchclaw her, or stay under her. You might get knocked down but you can heal up on her. And like I said, its usefull, I dont deny how its also very inconvenient.

Question, why is the health bar constantly draining? Is it a feature of the weapon to like drain health for an attack boost or something like that? I dont have Iceborne so I have no idea

You got it half right, it's the set bonus that drains HP for a damage boost. Hitting the monster a certain amount of times will recover the lost HP

I guess being a hammer main hunting Lunastra isn't that much of a pain the ass for me. Head HZ is great and using power charge makes you immune to wind pressure. Kushala can go to hell though. Bastard loves to fly all the damn time.

It's the safi set bonus, you lose HP with each hit but after a certain amount of hits you heal that lost HP back + a little more
