This game is so good, but I wish this type of thing like the investigation defense multipliers was more explicit... 15% more damage on an investigation is a big deal that was never explained and only through testing you were able to figure it out. I'm watching u since a few months too and every vid is very very nice. As MH Veteran (since MH on PS2) I really really love this game and it's never gettin bored. Another one I watch was listed in the endcard. AkantoreX he's a very high skilled MH gamer too. I'm not bad at all but I have still to learn a lot cuz one of my greatest weaknesses are greed and using lots of potions cuz I wanna try to slay monsters as fast like u guys and I can't stop striking monsters.^^' So I make lots of mistakes during a fight (cuz of greed xD) and I'm always solo hunting cuz I can't find someone to play with me but these are listed. But I still try to find a team. (Hh main here) You could have used a second HH user with the "element attack up" skill, so you wouldn't need it on the great sword user's set, freeing up slots for more attack or crit skills (or the Nerg horn for the 20% boost to affinity) . Either way, amazing run!! Love all the crazy work you guys put into these vids, huge fan of all the nerdy stats! keep it up!

This would not change anything, as he had already achieved the attack cap and elemental attack cap (in fact he even had more attack than necessary to achieve the cap: 721/720). Only benefit would be to have more affinity of the second HH, which would only facilitate the crit a little, but the damage would be the same. Now this damage record will only be broken when CAPCOM launches new weapons with more attack or when they add purple sharpness to the game.

This. I was wondering when it will come up, but it didn't. Was this feature of the GS removed in MHW or is it still present?

@@dragonspit77 Definitely still in there, all you have to do is test in the training area you'll notice your hits are occasionally 5% higher, but the pillar's hitboxes are really wonky so it's kind of inconsistent. The only question is if you could actually land it on a sleeping monster without waking it up first. If not, that's probably why it's not mentioned in the video. If you can, I imagine it's really inconsistent, and you'd have to sleep the monster in the right place for the hit to actually land without waking the monster beforehand with the other hits.
