Could you be more specific? They're just hitting triangle and circle, when in sword mode. Sometimes they're hitting triangle a few times first, or hitting circle twice. If you're wondering about their damage numbers, they're using a bug where slicing through teammates/environmental entities causes more explosions to happen when you hit the monster in Amped sword mode.
