can we have a guide for safigiva bow only with pre safigiva gear? I've been stack for years and everytime I tried I give up after a few tries... the further i got was to second phase and the first nova my dps is not quite there and the monster always scape... this quest is so for multiplayer and most of the videos taking the monster with a bow have post safigiva gear. I can't find a single video doing the quest with pre event gear.

Three years later same problem persists. I'm grinding solo cuz no ps+ so I can't rely on lobbies to get him down. It's a chore, takes like 8 hours of play for me to drain the first two floors in solo play pre Safi gear.

If it's taking that long just skip the fight entirely You don't have to do it Getting fatalis would be easier (faster) solo than wasting a whole day to kill safi once

I'm very new to bow but how do you know when it's going to prock blast?? I can't get out of stage 1 for the life of me. Either I blast doesn't prock on the back or I can't break the second wing :( Any tips?

I always use the same combos. So I know when to expect a blast proc. If not, with time you'll get a feel for when it's about to proc :D

It does very minimal sever damage. You need about 10k sever damage in solo and 20k in 4p to cut it. Iirc those attack do like 10 or something, so good luck ahah

For those who are not godly as Tidus (all of us :) ), use kjar bow decay in stage 2. Otherwise, he will drain 3rd time, wasting a lot of time. 1 Elderseal will prevent it.

Been doing safi solo pretty semi-successfully. 1 question, how do you get felyne black belt to be a 2 meat and then get felyne booster as well? I Thought felyne booster was a daily skill?

It’s because of a mod that changes food selection to allow to always have booster. It’s pretty standard for runs

I was wondering the same thing. If that’s the case then it might as well just be a banned skill because console players cannot guarantee booster and if everyone’s just guaranteeing it anyway with mods than what’s the point. Ps. I have nothing against it I’m just saying . It becomes pointless if everyone is using it, there would be no difference than if everyone weren’t using it. Great run though man.

My main issue with Safi is that he keeps shooting the quick beams at me and it really adds time to the run. I'll end up loosing about 2 minutes worth of time just because of the trips. Will Lv2-3 Flinch Free fix this? I do know I still need to practice more

I don’t remember if flinche free 2-3 helps with that. It’s been a while since I did safi but from what I remember you just have to know when he can do it and be ready for it. Usually when you get hit by those it’s because you overcommitted and you get caught either in an animation or off position

Yes his health is halved, and his parts take half the damage to be broken. It is solo scaled. Mechanics are the same, he will drain about the same amount of times than in mp, but his stats are scaled for solo

@@tristanminor3443 weapons have bloated attacks values. Bow is 1.2, which means a bow with 100 true raw will display a 120 attack value. While a IG with 100 true raw will display 310 attack value because it’s bloated multiplier is 3.1. So yes it may look like 310>120, but in reality they’re both at 100 atk. That’s why greatsword have such a high atk value and bow so low, but it doesn’t mean anything

20k HP solo instead of 40k HP for 4 players. The catch is the energy level drain mechanic, which was balanced for 4 hunts going on at the same time, left unchanged. If you cannot kill Safi in one go (requires top skills and the Fatalis meta), you are looking at 3-4 hours of doing the quest over and over again (don't leave the session in the middle or your progress will be reset) just to kill Safi once. Thus the "solo-scaling"' is a bit useless for newcomer solo players who want weapons and armor to go after MR Kulve Taroth, Alatreon and eventually Fatalis as Safi is still not solo-farmable in a sane way.

@@johan9428 yea for sure, that’s why I mention at the very end, I made this video but really I don’t know who it’s useful for. If you’re endgame it’s useless to fight safi. If you’re new, you’re gonna have a rough time soloing him. I mean, you can solo him with pre safi gear, but you have to be a really good player already, and know what you’re doing exactly. It’s more like challenge run. Realistically, yea solo safi is useless for most of the player base, but it’s nice if you just want to fight safi for fun by yourself. Oh well, at least there’s 2p scaling, you can play with a friend now too

The get up mechanic is... u stand back up and keep fighting, idk what else u want bruv. Most action games don't have a "getup mechanic". Besides you're safe on the ground so wtf are talking "getting killed due to lack of a geruo mechanic" Also badly designed?
