doing solo is better. its easier to knock it down and even if u mess up on the elemental knock down, u only faint once rather than the whole team faint and failing the quest.

Solo is actually much easier. I only won once out of 30+ tries with SOS. I gave up doing SOS and went solo and consistently solo'd it several times in a row.

I guess its a thing for harder hunts in the game, i experienced the same with extreme behemoth back in the day, he was pain for sure but loosing my sanity was a small price for i ended up getting most of my precious decos early on. First extremoth gave me guard up, then capacity boost and protective polish and a bunch of expert and attack decos.

Faster run speed and it lasts a long amount of time with a short cooldown. If you have the glider mantle as your other mantle, you can have 100% mantle uptime since their cds line up, so this helps with getting more decos into your build

So this can also be done with charge blade. Good to know considering it's part of my Four Horsemen Arsenal. Also looking for tips for armor and jewel builds to help me with that Nova. I've decided to fight solo instead of relying on a team.

stack element for its weakness, for the Special Assignment, he starts in fire form, so bring ice if its the event quest, death star is ice form and eternal star is fire, so bring the appropriate element. when he shifts element, he goes from his current/starting element to dragon. this is when you can break his horn to prevent an element shift to the off element and if you chose the direct counter to the starting element, your current element, making the fight harder. if you dont get the element trip/prompt from the hander saying you are doing a good job suppressing his power, the EJ (super nova) will one shot you, which solo isnt that big of a deal, since you can get up to 4 carts in a hunt, 5 if it goes long enough and you can proc insurance and safeguard on separate meals. just keep the damage going and learn his attack patterns so you dont waste a cart or two to his regular moves. note his element weakness for the hunt you pick, those events will probably cycle daily and will be different for everyone when you get enough parts either by partially hunting or completing them, you can opt to build his LBG, the rank 12 upgrade has rapid-fire element ammo for all types, and with ammo up, you can get 5 shots of each element, save the dragon ammo, which stays at 3, that will make sure you can always hit him for good damage personally, the Kjarr CBs with 5 piece safi, like in the video, is some what easy to build if you already farmed the armor, ensure you max out the element charms and have one for either event quest (frost/ice charm and blaze/fire charm). Ive solod him with bow, which works decently well, his HZVs suck either way. the aforementioned LBG is easy to set up (again, 5 piece safi, , focusing on crit, maxing element and pierce shot) ive got some good combo decos that let me finish off the evade window skill, making dash dancing suffice for dodging his moves, giving me more damage uptime because im not stopping to heal all the time another tip, with safi 5 piece, you get 2 points of elemental resistance, and if you toss a third point to max it, like what Tii does with his mantle slots, you dont need to bring nulberries or worry about dragon blight (thats the reall killer of dps, since his trip is based on the element damage you deal). I have to solo him because my Xbox refuses to stay in a MP hunt for more than 10 minutes, so i feel the pain. goold luck and if i need to clarify anything, let me know. Cheers

Alatreon has a unique machanic where you need to use certain elements depending on his current state in order to power him down. Attack with fire when he's ice, or ice when he's fire. If you don't, his giant judgement move will do more damage than you can heal through. Dragon, water(?), and lightning(?) work in both states, but do less than ice or fire.

You lose it if you attack the enemy without them seeing you, getting you the crit bonus hit. If you put it on mid fight, you don’t get the crit bonus hit but you still get the run speed bonus
