Hasan Ali Püsküllü if you are in a party with a hammer bro, all blade type weapons go to the tail. Always. Especially true if the mon is down and you aren't SAED ready. If you are, aim your SAED towards the head so the phials explode near the head. Tail gone? Hit the body. Just let the hammer bro do his head bonk thing without tripping him.

The reason is hunters who use hammer have one critically job; smash the head to break it and exhaust and knock out the monster so everyone can wham on it. While the monster is K.O.'d it gives the hammer user a nice and likely only big enough window of opportunity to deal serious damage; like the full big bang combo.

Sailor Saturn As a Charge Blade main, I do not use SAED as often even with Artillery and Attack skills, utilizing the phial effect on the sword to perform continuous damage to parts, and use the finisher when there is a big opportunity.

Capcom's original encounter with the deviljho was back in MH Tri/3 Ultimate(?). You were hunting jaggi in the moga forest when you stumble upon a great jaggi barking commands. All of a sudden, BAM! A huge green monstrosity pops up literally out of nowhere and insta-kills the great jaggi. Holy crap! What in the world is that?! That is shock value and was completely unexpected. "A Simple Task" is a clever way of capcom either poking fun at us/trolling, or a combination of that and something else. It would be OBVIOUS IF the deviljho DID appear in that event quest. There'd be no surprise. You were already anticipating the encounter, so there isn't any shock value. What they did in MHTri/3 I am almost adamant they want to do something similar in MH World.

Sethg98 well, there's reasons -If my memory isn't wrong, Jho appeared in Tri in a quest named the same way with the same objectives -They announced Jho would be the first monster introduced via updates -Jho is known to appear when you don't expect it, and naming a quest "A simple task" pretty much lets you guess Of course they didn't say that update was going to feature deviljho, but they did trick people into believing that without saying a single lie, that's the charm of it

On the one hand, many of the veterans having played Monster Hunter as far back as Freedom Unite are accustomed to these markedly easy quests having some greater meaning behind them.(Like the first time Deviljho invaded your High Rank Great Jaggi Quest in Tri or the Eggstraction Quests building up to Crimson Fatalis in 4 Ultimate.) Then, on the other hand, KZbinrs and the community alike let their expectations get the better of them with very little confirmation from Capcom on the status of Deviljho, so that's a thing as well. Still, it did seem like Capcom had some sort of ruse lined up in naming the quest A Simple Task, but who can really say.😅

My idea: The "Monster Hunter" character uses a variety of weapons for different attacks. The Great Sword would be the charge attack, obviously, the bowgun or bow for some ranged mixups for the special attack. The Insect Glaive for the recover move. Hell, the slinger can be used as a grab. (Like, the hunter nets the opponent he/she grabs.) the slinger could also be used as a means of ledge recovery, like how Link or Samus use their grab to recover. Anyway, the alt costumes can just be different armor sets, or even three sets of armor with their variant monster being the different color scheme. THE HUNTER CAN EVEN ARRIVE ON STAGE WITH THE WINGDRAKE, FUCK.

No joke, i had the PERFECT setup for that to happen. I found a Gakalaka shellshock spot, was stacked on supplies, put in some Def Lock decos, and had every meat trap ready. I tapped on a mushroom and stood waiting for like 15 minutes, making me then gather the rest of the mushrooms thinking that it would be a surprise 2-part quest where Jho would appear after i gather the shrooms...then the quest just ended. Afterwards i just stared at the bounty board confused and thinking if i did something wrong for a few minutes.

Brian Leucht tell your friend to stop going for the head. No point going for the head with a greatsword in co-op as the greatsword does zero ko damage and has the same dps on any crit spot. Basically he should focus the tail while you focus the head.

I attack where I'm needed. I don't want to whittle the monster's health down by attacking a part that's already been broken and prevent my teammates from breaking another part because the monster dies too early. Once the tail has been severed, I target the wings, claws, or head, whichever affords the least risk of getting hit by the monster.

Okay, so I got most of those, I think... though I think I missed some, because I'm an idiot... But before I get into what little I know, this was both very beautiful and very entertaining. Thanks, NCHProductions! The flies, I completely get. The neck snapping is also accurate, because occasionally they don't lead you the best way to the monster, which doesn't help... *Changing this because I was completely wrong* The point of the "A Simple Task" event (and another like it) is to gather Tempered monster tracks for investigations while given an easy mission (collect RP mushrooms). The fourth hunter is either oblivious to this or serious about doing missions, so he was the only one actually gathering the shrooms. (And the... oddly appealing pictures are the animator's take on how tracks for one monster gives investigations for other monsters.) The two Wide Range skits are actually thinking about how in the hell that skill is supposed to work in practice... and that first skit is why a designated/full time healer absolutely must have Wide Range level 5. So I only really figured out the breaking vs cutting thing recently myself, but I have long related to the bit about smacking each other when trying to pummel a downed monster. And this is part of why I main LBG.
