There has to be an end to the death and destruction, the hatred and the madness. Yes, clearly the Ukraine is now the "underdog" in the current fight, but they are not innocent either. With respect to longings to separate away from, and break free from Russia and Russian (or Asian) influence, I understand, perhaps more than anyone might guess. But I have learned for myself, the hard way, after much struggle and sufferring, that the best way to separate is not through war and not through an attempt to annihilate and destroy, but, paradoxically, through a willingness to interact harmoniously. Hear me out please, as this is important. When I say harmonious, peaceful coexistence, I am not saying homogenization. Rather the opposite. Just as a human body needs different organs, the world too needs different peoples with different strengths and aptitudes. But it is through the harmonious interaction, and not conflict, that such differentiation is allowed to grow. Ukrainians mournful over the loss of territory, Crimea and now the Donbass, to "the Russians", and outraged over the current Russian incursion/invasion, really ought to understand that the only reason why these regions divorced themselves from the Ukraine, is because intollerant and Russian hating forces took over the government, and declared the Ukrainian inhabitants of these regions to be Russian invaders. (They were not. They too were good and decent Ukrainians). And the principal reason why Russia invaded, is because the Russian hating zealots who seized control, declared war on Russia. You may deny this, but it is true nonetheless. And western countries like Canada and the U.S. provided arms and special forces to assist the Ukraine in their "war against Russia", for nearly 8 years, before Russia actually responded militarily (and only after years of diplomatic efforts). Unfortunately, malign western forces were using the Ukraine as a cat's-paw and weapon against Russia, and Russia eventually took the actions necessary to defend itself. You have my sympathies, but the truth is that war against Russia is suicidally insane. Mutually assured destruction is still guaranteed, and even though foolish people fuelled by lies, propaganda and hate, will be ready to lay down their lives for their "glorious struggle", such "self-sacrifice" is actually terribly foolish and a pointless, even counter-productive, waste. And, while we may admire your zeal and ferocious courage, the rest of the world will not join you in your mad march to oblivion. And "the Western powers" that promised "NATO support" were not actually your friends, but rather, effectively in the service of Satan, sadistic and malevolent agents encouraging you towards your self-destruction. I know it can be very, very hard to accept, but some battles simply can not be won through any exertion of effort or will. And the more one struggles the worse things become, and the only path to victory lies, paradoxically, in surrender. Basically, one has to be willing to listen to God, and say "ok God, you win, I give up, now please tell me how I am supposed to live, and I will try". And somehow one must learn to abandon one's hate, and one's longing for revenge. Somehow one must forgive, not only God but also oneself. To surrender both one's dreams as well as one's failings and one's anguish, pain, torment and suffering to Christ and those powers who are loving and merciful. One must abandon one's pride and become humble, and in humility seek out mercy and grace. Grace is a marvellous thing. With it, the world ceases to oppose one's will, and one can proceed without struggle. But while I support efforts towards self-determination, and while I think personal preferences are of course entirely reasonable and appropriate, I think, well I think I know that it is actually a mistake to suppose that any one group of people is actually better or more deserving of life and happiness, than any other group of people. Russians are not inferior people. And no one person is actually genuinely better or more deserving of any other person. And we ought to be different, even in our tastes and ambitions, as well as in our relative strengths and weaknesses. In the body, lung cells don't actually compete with heart cells. And they don't even actually compete with other lung cells, unless they are cancerous. And the lungs don't actually compete with the heart. Instead diversely varying organs or communities of cells interact in a complimentary and harmonious way that is, and must be, mutually supportive and beneficial. One must come to respect and even love "the other", even as one must come to love "the self". And one should come to fully love and appreciate the truly precious and marvelous whole of which we are all a part and in which we all are one. "Love is wise; hatred is foolish. In this world, which is getting more and more closely interconnected, we have to learn to tolerate each other, we have to learn to put up with the fact that some people say things that we don't like. We can only live together in that way. But if we are to live together, and not die together, we must learn a kind of charity and a kind of tolerance, which is absolutely vital to the continuation of human life on this planet." - Bertrand Russell Peace, Love, and God bless

@@ihtac Are you saying there wasn't significant anti-Russian sentiment, or at least, that the post 2014 Maidan coup Kiev admin did not at all cater to such sentiment / ethnic hatred, and did not call for a "Ukrainianization" and a "de-Russification" of the Ukraine? Or are you simply saying that my "analysis" was over simplified, and did not help explain or acknowledge some genuine and legitimate greviences that likely contributed to that anti-Russian hatred? If it's the former, than I think you have been blinded to the truth. If it's the latter, sure, of course I am not going to be able to provide a comprehensive analysis. And maybe my writing or your English reading isn't all that great, but the main point I was trying to make was that, despite all past wrongs and injuries, there is a need to let go of the hatred, to forgive, and in particular, there is a need to abandon the goal of "killing Russians" and to instead embrace the goal of peaceful, harmonious coexistence. Of course I can't know for certain how this conflict will end. But I'm pretty sure it will not end with the defeat of Russia or Ukrainian victory, but with a grinding and brutal defeat, with many tens and, if things continue, hundreds of thousands of lives senselessly and fruitlessly destroyed and wasted. I think that "your Western allies" are not your friends, but knowingly and deliberately orchestrating your destruction. And I think your Vogue magazine photo model President Zelensky is a puppet tool for the Western financial oligarchs and their many servants who want to commit this evil. I think "Ukrainian willingness" to commit suicide in an effort to "shame and humiliate" Russia is absolutely mad/ insane, and has likely been made possible only through a tremendous distortion of reality and the truth through propaganda and deliberate deception. I know Western media has been spewing out propaganda which is essentially an inversion of truth, and, from what I've been able to understand, Ukrainian news sources have been issuing similar lies and complete misrepresentations. Do you honestly believe the "defense of Ukraine" (as opposed to concilliatory peace negotiations, likely involving the ceding of former Ukrainian lands to Russia) warrents the sacrifice of your own life?, or perhaps rather the sacrifice of others? If you remain convinced that I am quite wrong, have you ever entertained the possibility that you might be wrong? I am personally familiar with a kind of desperate obstinancy (that I myself had been guilty of), where one steadfastly refuses to bend until, essentially, one's "spine" has been snapped; until one has been thoroughly defeated, humiliated and broken. Sometimes, we somehow seem to end up trying to sustain an understanding that runs counter to reality. And, from personal experience anyway, I know that it is best to periodically emotionally disengage, step back, and try to examine reality from the "opposite" perspective. To me, it seems obvious that fighting a war with Russia is suicidally INSANE and its current conduct is made possible only through an enormous amount of lies and propaganda / mass scale psychological manipulation. And it is the Ukraine and not Russia that is currently fascist. And, if you care to investigate, it is possible to observe that anti-Russian sentiment, including ideas of ethinic and genetically based superiority/inferiority, has been allowed and even encouraged to grow and fester in the Ukraine, even to the point of a popularly held malignant psychopathy. And, in my opinion, this highly regrettable situation was all primarily facilitated and promoted by essentially evil itself. Western capitalists/ billionaire oligarchs want to seize Russian resources, land, and control over the Russian people. Our ownership/ruling class, yeah, basically the WEF associated sociopaths who want to put a micro-chip in your brain, and who want you to be subject to "involuntary biomedical enhancement", (which in fact is biotechnological debilitation via "augmentation"), now want to also control the people of Russia (and then China, and India etc). All the rest, pretty much, is media induced belief in an essentially fictionalized version of reality. But of course, I am not your guardian or mentor, and I think you need to be able to make your own mistakes, as God allows, and learn and grow (and live and die) at your own pace and in your own wonderful way. And I guess maybe there tends to be some kind of trade off, where great wisdom, or something else of profound value, seems to be born out of tremendous tragedy. But I would be loathe to be responsible for encouraging tragedy on others. Anyway, try to remember that we're all tremondously stupid and foolish, and not wholly so through any fault of our own, but well, simply because we're all only human. In humility brother, I wish you peace, love, wisdom and God's mercy and His grace, in the name of the architect of mercy, Jesus Christ.

@@tommackling Your perspective is skewed by the fact that you're only looking at the situation after 2014. We have tried to do it peacefully. For over 300 years we tried. Every single time Russia repressed us with a military invasion to bring us back into the fold. Russia had many chances over those centuries to settle with us peacefully. They squandered every single one of them. We don't want to talk and negotiate anymore. All we want is retributions for several centuries of suffering.
