An audit of MI6 building to see if police will respect my right to photograph from public

The guy was being purposefully confrontational all he had to do is say I'm taking photos because its in a movie and just tell them who you are there's no reason to not tell them.
@focuspocus36905 жыл бұрын
Here's a reason not to tell them ... this nice police officer in the link shows us why you wouldn't want any more info about yourself being stored. This PC, when he wasn't filming himself wanking in his uniform, and sending it to women on whattsap, was trawling the police databases checking out women from Tinder and Plenty of Fish. He even contacted a woman who he'd checked out and told her that he knew where she lived. Remember that there are numerous 'misuse of systems' charges every year. cheshire.police.uk/media/199632/pc-campbell-misconduct-finding.pdf

I agree. These people go looking for confrontations with the police, presumably because it gives them wood. It’s not hard to understand why the police turn up to see what’s going on. They were perfectly civil, despite the photographer being a total cockwomble. These are the same dozy fucks who will complain the police don’t do enough next time there’s a terrorist incident in London.

Never trust the police it is their job to arrest, kidnap and imprison people. Their job security depends on it. These cowards choose to hassle a photographer because dealing with real criminal's is dangerous.

We must not be grateful when armed Constables interfere with our private lawful activity and then graciously decide not to incarcerate us for not breaking the law. This is a lawful activity. The police cannot interfere with lawful activities. If they want the law changed petition the government. The police cannot arbitrarily make innocent behaviour unlawful. The police in Britain are citizens,members of the public ,trusted with some extra powers and rights. They are not allowed to make up law as they go. They are not military ,they are members of the public like anyone else. “A Constable is a citizen. Locally appointed” Sir Richard Maine,first police commissioner.

The more I watch of these, the more I am convinced the education needs to happen in the control room/call centre/whatever they are called. By their own admission, once the police are assigned... they can't say "no". So they need to not be assigned in the first place.
@niknoks7638 Жыл бұрын
I totally agree with your assessment, however the problem isn’t necessarily the obvious imo, yes it’s the responsibility of the control room to assess the information, dispatch the appropriate Response Team resulting in the Officers doing what they are trained to do quite respectfully I thought ....it’s a dilemma because if your staring at numerous high res’ monitors all shift and your trained to look at the obvious what would you do? ......I’m not sure what the answer is other than more/adequate training on photography legislation, I’m pretty sure a day’s training using power point and mock public interactions wouldn’t be too stressful 🥴

They didn't kill them, they happily waited at the behest of an ambivalacious dwarf man-woman, then wrestled them safely to the ground. But leap out with automatic weapons loaded and ready to fire when a British subject takes a photo of our capital city?

So who was the brains behind putting a 'sensitive' building in one of the busiest thoroughfares in the Capital where any individual could attack it or it's occupants with something far more harmful than a camera. It's not uncommon to hold today's politicians or companies such as the BBC accountable for events that happened many years age so perhaps today's architects and decision makes should be held accountable for placement and security of buildings.

Downtown London really isn't the biggest issue, the area is huge. The problem is that the building is architecturally significant. It's not just a cube coming up from the ground.

Officer at the end says any place of significance, it will be deemed as suspicious (taking photos). Er, Houses of Parliment, Buckhingham Palace, Old Bailey.......etc,etc,. Thouhsands of photos taken every day of those 'significant' buildings. Do the police approach everyone taking snaps there? We're not treating you like a criminal the officer said, but we do need your name, what your doing, how long you've been here and where you're going next. Copsplaining at it's best. Would liked to have seen some of the photos you took.

@@christopherchristos7275 Right, but there's a difference between taking a photo of an "interesting building" and moving on, and setting up for photos which could potentially be scouting out a key hub to a countries security. Here in the states, a few years ago their was a guy that showed up dressed like an arab while videoing & taking photos in public locations. He gave security & the police the silent treatment. By doing that, they were confused & not sure about what to do because it wasn't part of the cop script they follow. His KZbin channel is named: Bunny Boots Ink, start watching his oldest audits first.

If a man walks down the street there3's no basis to stop and ask him questions If a man walks down the street stopping and looking into all parked cars, then that legal activity might be deemed suspicious. The police would have more reason to stop and ask that man to account for himself. Public photography is NOT suspicious activity.

You are clearly missing the point jakamoo1990 , Focus Pocus and the like are using there civil rights to highlight and inform most of us who view this content " THE LAW " if it wasn't the general approach to these episodes by the police the auditors would have very little content , so that puts your argument where it should be , back in the bin.... if you have a comment think about it from all sides before posting.......

To be fair there are at least 3 places where I'm glad the police would investigate anyone with a camera. 1. Nuclear missile bases 2. MI6 3. GCHQ Do this for shits and giggles? Fine, but the fact we get a response is good for national security and the fact you don't end up in a gulag good for our country. To me that's the audit.
@DMC8885 жыл бұрын
polla2256 I’m struggling to see how their line of questioning established whether the photographer had bad intentions or not. If you were up to no good the best you could do is act friendly, bow down to their authority and move on, or you could completely blank them. Either way they could not take any action against you. What exactly did their little visit achieve?
