My uncle, mum’s best friend and aunt are terrified of birds. They don’t like thing flapping round their head, and they are worried they will hurt the bird. So I have to put Alex away when at least 10 different people come round, or keep them out the room he is in.

It's fantastic to see so much progress with Mia both socially and physically. BTW what sort of miserable old bag has to make an issue of two such beautiful birds enjoying a bit of sunshine and fresh air - some people really make me despair.

There is always one person. In the States we call her Karen. Karen always wants to speak with a manager. Karen demands respect while giving none to you. Karen thinks her kids are Angel's while yours are monsters. She calls the cops for every little annoyance. She hates dogs and worse than that, she hates birds. "Everyone was having a great time until Karen came along." P.s. not all Karen's are Karen's, and you don't have to be a Karen to be a Karen.

I love how you’ve socialized them, trained them, and give them foraging toys(and chicken bones!). To Mikey and Mia’s subscribed friends- It’s ok for them to have bones. They break them up and eat the marrow. Taking my flock to the park or beach is sometimes challenging as well, as we just want to walk and enjoy the fresh air. But our flock draws a crowd. Please, I always say, watch out for hawks. Much love from your NYC friend and flock.

How I remember who is Mia and who is Mikey: Lighter eye color=Mikey Darker eye color=Mia That’s the only way I can tell the difference between the two birds 😂

It's just sad that everything were not used to is ''negative'' (for instance with food) But if you would ask a random person: What does a bird do? most people would say ''Fly'' But a petbird free flying is weird. you have responded well to the situation. But I wish it wasn't a problem. wild birds also fly at the park. (Humans can be very crazy...)

@@animalsandstuff7213 When their food runs out, instead of filling it with their normal food fill it with the fruit you want them to eat. They will eventually get hungry enough to try it, and they will most likely enjoy it so that next time you try to feed it by hand they know what it tastes like and will eat it. That's what my bird-expert friend suggested and it worked great for my Cockatiels :)

I’m sad your park trip was interrupted but the fact that you expressed your disappointment in a kind and calm manner speaks volumes!
