Waking up at 5AM for a week to grow closer to God

While visiting the Virgin Islands, I woke up at 5AM everyday for a week to spend quiet time with God.
Putting God first every morning strengthened my faith and grew our relationship.
I highly recommend doing this for yourselves!
I post EVERY Monday at (11:00am EST) & (8:00am PST)

I was so glad to finally find a Christian teenage girl on yt! I love watching her videos bc she’s not afraid to talk about Christ! She’s such an inspiration & God has many amazing plans in store for her! Mia has really inspired me to get deep into my Bible and read! Before I wasn’t reading it as much! Reading my Bible more and digging deeper into the word has really helped me! Since last year I’ve been really thinking about getting baptized but I didn’t feel it was the right time yet. 2 weeks ago I felt like I was finally ready to be baptized. Just last week I reformed my life with Christ and I don’t regret it at all! The Holy Spirit was definitely there at that very second bc I began to cry with joy right before I got into the tub! This comment isn’t about me but how much Mia has really motivated me to get closer to Christ! God bless 💜 Edit: I apologize for the rant 💜

I found so many Christian youtubers the past few days which makes my heart happy! I love to see others routines and potentially add to my own or get some tips. I’m curious as to how long your routine is? Or do you focus your entire day (multiple times a day) to reading, and devoting time to the lord? My routine is to pray, pull out a devotion book (Lysa Terkeurst) and find a devotion that resonates with me that week. Then I read the verse or even the chapter in the Bible. I write my notes to it and then after I try to find one more chapter to read in the Bible. My routine usually lasts 30-45 minutes. I devote when my heart needs it. I’d be lying if I said I Did a Bible study & devotion every morning at 6 when I wake up, because that’s not true. Sometime I do one in the middle of the day. Sometimes I do one before bed. I feel like doing one when my heart and soul needs it helps me to understand and absorb the knowledge more than just setting out a structured time for it.

I realized how much I need God in is gracious mercy in life struggling with sins. I MUST stay close to Him and I will not give place to my flesh. Read and spend much time with God. Seek after godly things. I even got rid of my tv and if I realize I spend too much time on matters not of God I delete it. I just want to be closer because the peace of Christ is very addictive. 🙏🏾. Mia, my sister in Christ, here’s hoping you had a blessed Independence Day. I know I did. A couple nights ago, I pinched my middle finger on a poolside chair as I folded it up to bring it inside to dry overnight. After the pinch, I had thoughts of a potentially injured finger joint, but the pain eased up as my finger healed. As a guy that’s had pain too many times in his life, I know that pain is all part of God’s plan for us as a lesson in what not to do to yourself.
