when i lived in college i’d use fabric softener and scent boosters in the wash and 2-3 dryer sheets from the same brand so my stuff would smell extra good 🥴 my mom has sensitive skin so i can’t when i’m at home. i used downy unstoppables fresh

Watching mia’s videos always make me feel bittersweet inside :’) I wish I had a mum like that. I don’t even live with my mum and our relationship is nothing like that. She has always made me feel like she cares more about herself than me. I’m getting married in a week and my mum told me she doesn’t have anything to say about me at my wedding when I asked if she would like to share. My heart kinda aches cos I wonder how it feels like to have that, you know someone that cares enough about you to be willing to try anything and have a great time doing it together. I feel sad but at the same time really happy for mia and mama maples.

As much as I love my Mom, I realized years ago that for my own personal health and mental well being, I had to distance myself from my Mother so I could have a stress free life. Awww Pris, I know how you feel. I don't have a relationship with my mom anymore but when I did it was awful (hence being estranged) & it's such a reminder when I see happy mother/child relationships. Maybe your new family will have a mother figure relationship you can grow and cherish as you've desired. Regardless of how much you want someone to be loving and kind, sometimes it will just never happen bc that person just can't for whatever reason. It sucks. Please talk with your fiancé/fiancee about this so you can unload some of the hurt and truly enjoy your wedding day. In fact, you may want to take this special time to yourselves and those who make an effort and then distance yourself from your selfish unloving mother. It sounds like she deserves to be ignored and cut off from most of your life. Maybe you'll feel better without her as I do without mine. We tried to be close to our mothers, you and I, but they didn't reciprocate so it's alllllllllll on them. It's not our responsibility to fix our parents and it's not our responsibility to love people who can't give love, even if it's family.. even mothers. My only tie dye story: I had the flu when I was a kid and was pretty sick. But you know, kids get the flu. But then my mum noticed my feet, and they were RED. She freaked out and rushed me to ER. Long time and many tests later, it dawns on my mom that I was wearing... red tie dye socks the day before 😆 (I was at a day camp and we were doing tie-dye so we were supposed to bring a white shirt. But my mum was like. We are not wasting a perfectly good white shirt on that so she had me take a pair of white socks. I chose red dye 😆)
