MIAMI CROSSING TO BIMINI (PART 1)

This is our first time crossing to Bimini in a small boat (26 ft boat) together with a group of boats organized by Miguel Te Busco who is also a youtuber who created a group called Sandbalero. This was Sandbalero Tour #11. We woke up early as the group planned to leave by 7:30am. This entire video will show you our morning and our trip towards Bimini. I obviously didn't record the entire trip as it took us about 1 hour and 45 minutes to cross. However, I kept a lot in so you can get a feeling of what it is like when you're crossing in the middle of the ocean. The weather appeared to be good, so we were always above 30mph. I also provide some tips in this video. Hope you guys enjoy the views, the music and comment if you see yourself or something you like. The sunrise was amazing too. I believe so. It just depends on the type of boat. If it’s a deck boat or a bay boat l don’t recommend it.

Do any bay boats go? Looks like there was a single engine grey boat that looked like the front end was low to the water

Yeah I saw a Yamaha Jet boat make it. Also some other boats with single engine as well but no bay boats like mine. Plus if you’re following people, on a bay boat you’re not going to be able to go 30 to 40MPH on waters like these so you’ll fall behind. Thanks for commenting and watching. Go watch part 2 👍

Do you think a 20 - 22 FT boat with a single 150 yamaha can make this trip to Bimini?

I think it’s fine if the weather and water permits. I’m no expert as this was my first trip and I didn’t go in my own boat (Tahoe 2150 with 200Hp) but I saw some single engine boats center console make it. I think I’ll take my Tahoe out there one day but never alone. Always with other boats in case something happens. But I think it’s possible on a good day. Yes and no. Yes because I would love to have my boat over there in those nice waters but no because my boat doesn’t handle 4 to 6 feet waves good. Our second day, which you’ll see in my next videos the water got choppy heading to the sunken ship.

We went on my friends boat because my boat is a deck bay boat bro. I’m scared if I get caught in bad weather my boat won’t handle it. So to be safe and being that it was my first time crossing I preferred going on my friends boat which is meant for deep sea stuff. But maybe next time I will do it seeing how I saw it is possible on a good day. Thanks for commenting. Dale enjoy the video.
