Florida To Bimini Crossing By Boat 2021

Our first crossing from Boca Inlet to Bimini by boat. We have a 2021 Boston Whaler 320 Vantage and it was our first open water crossing. August 2021. Visited the Sapona, Honeymoon Harbor, 3 Sisters and stayed at Resorts World.

In 1982, I graduated from high school, as a graduation present, my oldest brother, who was more like a father to me, paid for all of my diving gear and he and his wife took me to Bimini for diving and fishing. Back then, it was pretty desolate. When we landed, a small plane was off to the side of the runway riddled with bullet holes as a result of the drug trade. As I’ve traveled, not extensively, but to South American countries to fish and dive, that Bimini trip was one of my favorites. I will go back hopefully one day. Cool video, and thanks for letting us come along. ✌🏻

Depends on what you’re looking for… you can get an entire day and as many sights and adventures you can handle. He had a daily flat rate and you get as much as you want out of it. I think it cost us a few hundred. Highly qualified and tons of explorations. We used Captain Thomas. He’s well known on the island.

Love the boat! Seating is very versatile, love the side dive door for getting in and out of water. It’s the perfect size for travels, fishing and cruising. You’ll love it!

I have the 25 outrage absolutely amazing boat offshore I've gotten stuck in some pretty rough Seas 80 miles out. The boat amazes me at the way it handles the Seas and I'm coming from a 31 Bertram and I just wanted something I could trailer. My buddy is looking for the same boat as yours how does it handle in rough Seas offshore? Is it the same hull as the outrage?

People do it on jet skis, but requires lots careful planning, weather planning, some thought for communication, etc. Do it with a buddy boat maybe for 1st time.

I used to do this on a regular basis with a 20ft sea craft with a 115 merc. The 80's was a great time to go there for a weekend and just fish and drink. The fishing clubs back then were just a plain fun time. Not the same anymore. 20ft sea crafts were the norm, a 23ft formula was the flagship.

People cross with jet skis. It's all in the weather my friend. On a good day it's totally doable. Although any single engine boats, I'd say consider a buddy boat. In the event that you lost an engine, you're not alone. Best of luck!
