Csonka was a high 1st round pick (#4 or #5 I think?) and we knew what we were getting in him, but Langer was a DL rookie with Cleveland who wasn't quite working out so they moved him to center and he was going to make the team as a practice squad player, but when he was released with the expectation that he'd be resigned the Dolphins picked him up at the insistence of Monte Clark, the Dolphins OL coach....and of course the rest was history, along with another trade from the Chargers for a OL Guard who wasn't exactly setting the world on fire, in Larry Little, our OL had two HOF'ers added for almost nothing.

He's certainly up there. A brutal, hard charging, juggernaut, deserves all the high praise and respect he's received. As an old Redskin fan, I put Big John ( The Diesel) Riggins ahead of him, but only by a little bit.

During a TV interview at Canton with Langer and Czonka, Jim said Zonk wasn't a fullback, but he was a guard running with the football. That's a high compliment from a lineman.
