I'm taking the kayak out tomorrow off south beach. Been about a month since I've gone out but last time I got a 23" mutton about 150 yards off the beach.

That’s a nice mutton off a kayak. We used to catch from time to time while tarpon fishing around the inlet. Catch ‘em’ up!
