Clearly, this game does not feel like a win by any measure. Obviously, the Nets are not a good measuring stick for anything. Propz for Kel'el, et al., but the story of this game is Dru Smith, indeed. It's almost as if the Basketball Gods demand their blood sacrifice from Dru .. for whatever reason. Godspeed to Dru and best wishes for a speedy recovery. EDIT: Pray for this hard-working young man, as a presumptive Achilles' tear is neither the best or the worst of diagnoses on this one.

Ware will needs to embrace the main character energy he could have easily gone on a 10-0 run by himself but he wasn't expecting to get the ball 😅 Also if he plays the 5 as a rim runner it should open up Bam for more pick and pops and uncontested middies.

The thing with Dru we're going to miss the most is his constant harassment and point of attack defense. We need that skill set, especially against opposing PG in the East (Trae, Brunson, Haliburton, Maxey, Dame, etc...) we need to figure that out ASAP. For however, this mentality does it always leads to wins. Let the young man play next to Bam, and trade for another top Center. The Miami Heat can use pieces like Duncan robinson, jovic Kevin Love, and even Jaquez, and that would make us a superior team. Trading Jimmy Butler is not the answer.
