This culture is so synonymous with the state of Florida, but so different from what you think of when you think of Miami. Meet the Miccosukee Indians have been living off of The Everglades for 1,500 years. They were originally part of the Seminole Indians, but became an independent tribe in the 20th century.

I remember when I was about 10, a truck would come around every year and sell yard furniture made from Cypress trees. It lasted for years. It wad made by your people. That was in 1969.

Incorrect at very beginning. The Everglades and south Florida are tropical, not subtropical.
