I interpret this video as the two young lovers pacifying each others' insecurities. The song references leaving for the stars, and between the two of them I'd peg the guy as the flight risk as far as that's concerned. Which means the song is sung from the girl's point of view, but obviously the guy is gonna have his own insecurities as well given the circumstances, so really the two of them need each other, and I think that's beautiful.

Not sure about a few protions of the video but 80% of this NOT shot in Long Beach, Ca. Most of the fwy scenes are on hwy 101 here on the central coast. As well as Andersons Pea soup. The pier scene is was shot here in Pismo Beach. And the hotel scene was shot at the Madonna Inn, San Luis Obispo, Ca.We live in a beautiful part of california and just want to make sure credit is given where it is due.
