To me it’s a no brainer. Oklahoma just ran a former 5 star quarterback out of town. They have no offensive line, no receivers, no skill talent at all to help Mateer. Plus they’re playing a tougher SEC schedule. At Miami, they’re returning 4 linemen and multiple productive skill players. They just made Cam Ward a possible first overall draft pick.

Sec had a down year compared to previous years of dominance. Mateer does not need to play in the SEC to succeed the next 1-2 years and beyond to the NFL. Cam Ward proved that going from a projected day 3 qb in the NFL to now a 1st round possibly 1st or 2nd qb picked after showcasing his skills at Miami. He helped push Miami to be the #1 offense in cfb and one of top qbs in stats this year. Miami's o-line has been very good and physical. Mateer would come into a plug and play offense with similar skills as Cam. Oklahoma is more of a work in progress with new coaches and a very poor o-line that was ranked 132 out of 134 this year.

Right now and this is coming from a Miami hurricanes fan. I really believe Miami would be a better fit right now because we have the better offense right now in place. Especially with our Oline being the focal point of our offense. Oklahoma Oline isn't very good right now and that will be the big difference in this young mans future in Miami he know the Oline will be a big focal point, he already seen that this year with his former friend. He also seen Oklahomas starting QB transfer because the Oline had him running for his life last year. I hope he makes the right choice a 1st round could be in his future with Miami maybe even #1 overall

I know I'm biased, but I cannot see how Mateer could pick OU over Miami. I get that his QB coach and OC went there, but other than that, look at the problems.....OU has a bad offensive line, and how many of their WR's hit the portal? He would be going into a bad situation there in my opinion. Miami on the other hand has a very good o-line, a lot of great WR's, and great running backs. If Miami cleans up on the defensive side of the ball, Miami is a serious team. (#1 offense in the country this year)
