I live in Minnetonka & grew up on that lake. My Dad had many Sea Ray, large cabin cruisers in the 80s. An old friend has a 39' Fountain on Tonka mostly. He takes it elsewhere as well. Really cool!

They used 4 diferent boats total in the production of the T.V. series all are documented in doing so. Also there were 50 total "Miami Vice" Edition Scarabs built while the T.V. series was on the air. They built them in all the Scarab line-up from the 21' scarab 1 to the 38' Scarab KV Just AWESOME AWESOME boats of the time. I have posted a video of a 28' Scarab "MIami Vice" Edition as well good looking boat

Scarab Miami Vice "Edition" about 55 built. Different paint scheme (centre stripe runs right to stern, not midships like TV boat. One piece engine hatch as stated)Still awesome though :)
