This is a "Redo Remix" version of "Crockett's Theme" by Jan Hammer, which was written, recorded and produced by Jan Hammer. It was recorded in 1984 and released in 1987 on the album Miami Vice II. It also appeared on Jan Hammer's 1987 album Escape from Television.
"Crockett's Theme" is an instrumental song written for NBC series Miami Vice.

When I was younger, my father cared about what I watched. It was like a right of passage he let me one night watch Miami Vice. He was worried I would see too many skimpy dressed ladies which later I said least I like girls~ :P He smirked... but no I was in love with something that I thought could get the ladies.. That Beautiful White Ferrari!! I fell HARD. My buddies at school would always dog me about how Lamborghini was better.. I said When Lambo can do the 24 Hours of Lemans without a skip, THEN TALK. I researched the History mind you this was 1987.. no such thing as internet. We had computers but they were limited. The F40 came out! OH MAN!! Still Lambo this' and Lambo that.. I began hating Lamborghini over that. I like Lambo these days hell, I like most cars each to their own gifts I say~ Then I saw the episode of the Daytona (I know, kit car..) and the White Countach. I flipped out hahahaha! I digress, at the end of 2004 I found a 308 GT4 not the greatest Ferrari then a Mondial T. They were affordable at that time until I took the Mondial T out to Nevada's Black Rock desert. Had the Native American police follow me a bit I had to do the speed limit to a TEE .. well we made it and I took the car up to 147 MPH on that flat out there. My grandfather leaned over and asked "What if someone is doing the same but coming the other way?" I nearly panicked. I hit the brakes some but not hard and I have no idea how but the valves went out of sync a bit and the car didn't idle well. So went to a guy in Reno and found out what took place. Long story short I made $1k off the car lol But I wish I could have kept it! Today those cars go for at least $50k oh well. Now I have moved on and fell for Christine. (I own 3 57's a 57 Chrysler Saratoga, 57 Plymouth 4DHT and just found a 57 Plymouth Belvedere 2DHT!! The Holy Grail!! Well next to a 58~ The reason I tell this is this Song was a bucket list item to PLAY in my dream cars. I did it to the Ferrari's and these 57's. Just so timeless to me. Sorry to drag you all through memory lane but it means alot to me as my father died on July 4th 1992 4 days shy of his 39th Birthday. It means so much and it is so neat to see so many different versions now! It's like as I grow older that friend is still there :) Peace and Love to all And NEVER be afraid to go after a dream even if it seems odd to others :D

Would be nice if all the scenes were in Miami, or even Florida for that matter. There aren't any mountains, big rock formations offshore, or winding and hilly oceanside roads in Miami ( or even in FL). Many of the palm trees featured in this video are not Florida palm trees. Too bad, because otherwise, it would be a nice tribute to the iconic "Miami Vice" series.
