The episodes that centered around Castillo are some of my favorites. What an addition he was to the show!

Just an incredible program! It really speaks even to this day! I found myself buying the box set. Went to Miami in September only be be taken by a guy promoting the 40th reunion. Money gone but we made the very best of it. To walk South Beach/Brickell and see where the scenes occurred was so surreal. Don Johnson was an actor I always looked up to. So much in fact I finally got the nerve enough to audition for and got the part in the children's movie Lucy and The Lake Monster. A film/book by Richard Rossi and Kelly Tabor. He may never see this but a big thank you to him for inspiring me to do it! Miami Vice has always been those mini movies brought into our homes each week.

2:15 One of the very rare shots of Lieutenant Castillo smiling. For that reason alone, that episode is gold. I saw it a long time ago, probably one of the most emotional ones, because of Castillo being confronted to his past.

Indeed. But in the prior episode (Golden Triangle Part 1) he also laughed for a short bit ;-).

Man, I’m so sorry for LT. Castillo in this EP!🥺💔😭First discovers that his biggest enemy is in Miami, after the wife he thought was dead is alive and living his life in Miami, imagine the amount of information and confusion in his head, the emotion of everything he spent in Thailand facing him, that scene of him swimming when he thinks about May Ying, wow, it destroys my heart, then he finds her just to lose again, she moved on, I don't blame her,she just like him thought he was dead, she married, had a son (stupidly "killed" her son last season!) and him? Nothing, suffered since the day he thought he lost her and continued suffering,in the same grief for now to see that he lost her definitely,my God, the Lieutenant did not deserve this fate but even so,it made him stronger and more sober for his life in Vice,so he is my character from the heart,❤️ how I wanted to hug him and people who pass by situations he went through,I take my hat off to EJO and I'm proud to be a fan of him!❤️

Cut out the best part where the CIA guy admitted to setting up the ambush on Castillo's team back in the day. Castillo proceeds to choke him with one hand in his pocket and the other around his throat hahaha

Just yesterday, on MeTV, the General was much younger on an old episode of Adam 12. When I saw him....I jumped up out of me chair and yelled, "General Lao Lee!!!!!....you sumbitch!!!!!"

The fact that Castillo just wanted the best for his ex, clearly, shows his character. The dude at 2:35... I would buy anything from him with those dope rhymes... "Don't boogy on the noogy... China white at a price that's right." The old man sells more than heroin. He sells mogwai's, as well, at absurd prices. Lastly, at the end, that song. It's from Sega's arcade classic Out Run on the ending screen to enter your name in the score board. Nice little touche.
