My g , im from Miami and i lived there during the cocaine cowboy days. There were multiple shootings just about every day. It was a bad time for the great residents of Miami and ft Lauderdale. But president Reagan came through and mobilized the feds to create the dea and the counter drug task force out of Langley Virginia. After that all the drug cartels and Colombia indians moved their operations to Texas and mostly California. Long story short miami vice was a play on what had happened in Miami in those days. The writing and the television production was the best ever seen on regular television. It lasted as ling as it could and it was beyond just entertainment , it created the most amazing cult following in the history of television. My brother and i used to go to the auditions they had for background actors and seconds they held every week. I got ten shows and my brother who was kind of wild back then worked for the production company off and on for two seasons. It was an amazing time for everyone in Miami and the surrounding area. During the 1980's, Miami Vice was the only show that I watched that was my favorite. I never missed an episode. The storyline of each episode, the fashion and decor, the music, the cars, and the whole vibe of the show to me was the best thing ever. Til this day, I am still a huge fan of Miami Vice. I did not like the movie that Hollywood tried to make. Miami Vice just isn't Miami Vice without Don Johnson, Phillip Michael Thomas and the rest of the original cast. I am definitely interested in seeing the new series. I will remain loyal to the original episodes and I am hoping to have the same feeling towards the new episodes. We'll see!

If they wanna put ppl in front of their tvs then bringing Miami Vice back would be a very wise investment. The original series was on while I was in Jr High. Everybody watched it and then went out to do the things we did back then. Hell, I'm still waiting on a 2nd movie. The darkness of the movie worked, especially since the series was suppose to be darker but, it still worked. LONG OVERDUE, so hurry up already.

Okay maybe somebody on here knows. I watched another KZbin channel and there is supposed to be a remake that is a miniseries of everybody in the show comes back and there are clips of it and I think it's can't think of his name now but he did the music and everything and it's supposed to be coming out I thought it was going to be out last year but maybe next year for the 40th anniversary? But it's supposed to be on nbc. I read all this online. So I hope that it's true because why are there movie clips of it if it's not?
