Miami vs. Florida State Condensed Game | 2023 ACC Football

Miami’s final-drive comeback effort fell just short, as No. 4 Florida State hung on to move to 10-0 on the season. FSU QB Jordan Travis went 19-31 with 265 yards and a touchdown in the win, while Trey Benson had a pair of big touchdowns on the ground to go with his 80 yards. Johnny Wilson was Travis’ top receiver, as he racked up 82 yards. Jarrian Jones finished with a big interception to seal the game for the Noles, while LB Kalen DeLoach had a terrific game: 10 tackles and 2 sacks. Miami QB Emory Williams left the game on the final drive injured after converting on a 4th down with his legs to extend the game. The true freshman had 175 yards passing and 2 touchdowns in his first career start. WR Jacolby George added 153 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Norvell’s play calling in the redzone continues to be baffling. JT continues to hold on to the ball too long and won’t just take the easy check down. Granted these are nitpicks for an undefeated 10 win team, but this HAS to be cleaned up if we make the playoffs because it will absolutely cost us against elite teams. Miami played tough as I knew they would. That might be the best offensive and defensive lines we played all year

We’re fine. Just remember this Mario’s first year with HIS PLAYERS…! We almost derailed their season with a team full of freshman. Let FSU fans have it. They better enjoy it that ponds running dry.
