Hi mia, I also got an orchids but I dont repot them I just let them stay on the transparent container and put it inside the nice pot so that I can see if it is already dry and to make sure I don't over water it. It continous to bloom flowers every year. I think it's not good to use the bark that you pick up because sometimes there is some diseases on it that will ruin your orchids. It's better to buy the orchids potting mix at store.

Mia no need to put soil sa medium ng orchid mo, bark and sphagnum moss is enough and it's ok too Kung wala ka talagang moss. They are epiphyte plants so meaning they don't need soil. And the roots that you are talking about called aerial roots they are supposed to be like that cause they take moisture sa air. And of course they have like roots talaga na buried sa medium(other term) or orchid mix. I have my own orchids collection too different types of orchids and I can relate to you girl I have a lots of indoor plants too. Don't take this as a negative comment Mia I'm just sharing some knowledge about orchids. Anyway God bless you and John.

No, they don’t have. So why I have to be careful not too over water them.❤️

@@MiaSandovalvlog You could have kept the plastic containers as long as they have holes. I bought a lot of those containers and I use a soldering iron to drill holes. I water and fertilize my orchids every 10 days for 10/15 minutes and drained them.
