Hey man, I met you when you were taking pics of your car in the cold! I was driving the WRX! It’s satisfying to watch the progress on your car! Would love to get some pics with your car sometime! Hope to keep in touch!

Is there really a benefit to having the same pad contact patch but just on a larger diameter rotor?

Yup there is, the larger diameter rotor allows more leverage to be applied to the rotational mass and it's also a larger heat sink. To your point though, there's no additional clamping force or pad to rotor friction. Great comment!

Maybe a rear trunk lip install next?

How does this compare to the NB Sport brake package? Also, you pushed the pedal too far down, you just want it enough to open the valves slightly to prevent fluid from getting buy, and it would've been easier to just cut the line since you're replacing it and use a socket to remove the flare nut.

Similar performance but much better selection of pad compounds. Yup, since replacing the crossover hardline and rubber line, cutting and replacing everything was easiest.

Honestly, I think I'd rather save up for some new OEM sport calipers + brackets and a Sport dust shield. But maybe I am OCD like that.

It's a fair point but on the downside available pad compounds for OEM sport rears are limited.
