Would it just be possible to bend it up a little in the rear. It didn’t look like much. Both work just seemed like it would have been simpler and maintain the wrapped edge. Also for the rears i would assume the pads are a bit bigger. I’m not sure if you mentioned that in the video. Somethings to note for anyone doing new rotors always spray them with brake clean to remove the oil they put on them from storage and in the rear after your all tighten up make sure you turn that allen key back so there is drag on the rotors. That sets your parking brake. Another fun fact.. in the front the reason the shield has that part that is far away from the rotor is to scavenge air for cooling.

You probably could just do the rear but I figured I might as well cut it off in case I decide to go even bigger if needed. The rear pads are different/bigger when you go to the sport options from the base ones. I do recall spraying the discs and just didnt show it in the video. That allen key adjustment is so annoying. I had to actually adjust my cable inside because that was really loose and it wouldn't grab with the allen all the way out. Thanks for all the info though!

Thanks for watching. Do you have a Miata you're looking at upgrading the brakes?

Anyone know why there are 2 different sets of pads for these size discs? There are the ones shown in this video, but there also the ones that look like the have "devil" horns.

Are the front lines specific to the sport brake calipers? I have stainless steel lines for a nb1, and am wondering if I would need to order new ss lines for a sport kit, or if my current ss lines are ok.

Looks like it depends on the set you have. The ones I got from TrackPrep Perfomance had this as the description Techna-Fit's D.O.T. certified, high performance, brake line kits are made to fit Miata's for '90 - '05, including the sport suspension. I did check with flying Miata website and theirs said you have to use different banjo bolts. Hope this helps, if not maybe try asking in the NB Facebook group.
