Nikon Z8 Chattanooga Snow Photography 24-70 f/4 & 600 PF Lenses!

We finally had some snow here in Chattanooga and I couldn't decide what type of photography to do. I ended up doing landscape, Birds Cityscape, and Street photography all in one morning! I used my Nikon Z8 and two lenses, the 24-70 f/4 S and the 600 PF. Come with me on this beautiful snowy morning.

@@TheNewRetiredMe thank you! I was kind of overloaded in terms of where to go so I tried to go kind of everywhere. I would like to have also gone up on Chilhowee, to a waterfall, and to a wildlife refuge. But I still was able to get a lot done that morning.

I don’t mind when it snows especially if I have a vehicle with all-wheel-drive so I can get out and do photography. But if I have to work and even more so if Heather has to work, I just assume it never here snow again.

Great tips for the Tree. I have been using the Nikon Z8 using the Megadap ETZ 21 Pro with Sony E Mount Lenses with Zeiss Batis Primes 25mm f/2 & 18mm f/2.8 Plus the Tamron 70-180mm DI3 VXCD VC f/2.8. Always enjoying to experiment. BTW receiving the Zeiss Batis 85mm Stabilized f/1.8 Prime Lens today. I like the window on the lens that shows the distance to the subject. Love the video and I get approached all of the time when carrying a camera to take photos of people with their capturing tool, cellphone or camera. Cheers!

LOL on the baby blue bug in the snow. Back when my brother and I started to drive my dad tossed us the keys to the baby blue bug and told us to go learn how to drive in the snow, fun times. It's Feb 1 and we are getting our first "sea level" snow of the year here in the PNW. Putting on my Sorels and heading outside. Loved ALL of your snow shots, you really got around town.

Thank you! We will see temps that high here in July and August. Snow is rare here, we get it about every two or three years.

Hi Phil, thank you for the video. Quick question regarding the Z8. I’m using the canon r7 and we all know the inconsistency of its autofocus, I know you’ve used the r5 and the r6 mkii how do you find the soft images/keeper rate on the z8 compared to those cameras? Do you find it more reliable? I know canons acquire focus faster and have a faster subject detection, but do you get more in focus shots with the Z8? Also, from watching reviews on the Z8 online I notice there’s a stutter in the live viewfinder, is that true? Thank you 🙏

@@mikeymike4366 thank you! I don’t notice any stutter in the live view Finder whatsoever. I have not used an R5 but I have used the other cameras you mentioned and to me the Z8 is the best of them in terms of keeper rate. The R6 mark ii is also very good.
