Mic not working on Xbox series X/S fix. ( pls read description) still working fix for 2024

How to fix the Xbox series x/s mic issue . This issue is a fix for when you can hear others but they can’t hear you. Any other issue will probs be related to your headphones/controller.
****The Xbox series x/s does not support all non gaming headsets. So pls don’t expect your audio headsets to work with Xbox new
Gen console. ***
This fix is for gaming headset only . It will not fix any problems relating to audio fix for game, ( each game has its own audio settings which could be at fault). To make sure it’s your audio settings and not game settings join or create a Xbox party and see if others can hear you.

Make sure the audio cable cord is compatible with both mic and headphones. Some cables support headphones only.

That is correct some aux leads only work for sound not mic . Usually u can tell by number of rings on plug . 👍🏽

Ok first you need to check if Xbox party chat works . If. So then it’s the game you playing . Visit the game settings and check things there . If all that is correct then it’s your headset faulty or a simple bug and your console or game needs a reset

Warzone is very buggy so this is not an Xbox fault. You only have 2 options here . 1 go through all Warzone and mw2 settings and check if u missed something . 2. Uninstall all game files and reinstall as this will change everything back to default and fix insure . Good luck bro 👊🏽

Go in to the game audio settings and see if there is an option to turn your mic up. For example in Wz there’s is a option called mic volume .

Ok try this. First just open a Xbox party chat and while in chat speak on mic see if his display picture lights up.if this works Xbox and headsets are fine . If this does not work this is your option. Unplug all wires from Xbox and leave off for 30mins then replugand let me know what happens . This usually resets audio settings

Yes I am using a gaming headset. Called lucid sounds ls20. Old gen gaming headset but works fine on new gen. however not all old gen or stereo headsets will work on series x that’s because they are coded different for audio

That’s not your Xbox that is mw2 bug. But I know how to fix that also. Go to social while on mw2 in top corner while u see party . U can click r2 to disconnect from party and reconnect . That usually fixes their bug . If not turn game off complete and reset it.

Your problem may not be your Xbox. What game you having problems on. Cuss it’s either game or headset causing them. That said do the hard reset to Xbox. Unplug all cables and leave turned off for 30 mins then turn on. That resets audio software .

Ok so I defo know your headset does not work wireless via Xbox. So if you have usb plugged in remove it. I can only work via jack . Now the only thing I can think off regarding it not working fully is either it’s faulty or u need to update controller . Try that let me know. I’ll do some more research and get back to u

That’s strange it should be there. But don’t worry try this fix. Disconnect any Ethernet or Wi-Fi from Xbox . Hold down power button on Xbox till it shuts down. Unplug Xbox and wait 30mins . Then reconnect all connections and power back up. That usually reset all audio settings to default . ( this is what Xbox makes u do if you call their support )

If you mean the middle button settings where u can turn ur mic off and on. That only appears when a compatible headset is plugged in. So either ur headset not working or not supported. Try unplugging it and putting it back in

Honestly I have no clue what that could be. But I would suggest you go to controller settings and try updating both.

Ok so you problem is one of 2 things . Usually it’s game settings no console so check the in game settings to see if my thing changed . Could also b your headset faulty? And if the above 2 don’t work. The series x is l known for having audio faults just contact Xbox support who can reset ur audio settings remotely

Still didn’t work for me I changed all 3 options 😭😭 I’ve went through 4 headsets already nothing will work on my series x

Ok so try a factory reset your Xbox and make sure the headsets actually compatible with series x . A lot of ppl think audio headsets work. I personally use lucid sounds ls20 . Very cheap and work well

Also there are in game settings and console settings . So for example your Xbox could b fine in settings but the game u playing settings also needs to change. If it’s Warzone I have a audio fix video also

Yeah I did all that I ended up calling Microsoftand whatever they did fixed it I can finally after 3-4 months talk to lobby

Then you need to check your headset or the game you having issues in (gta settings )
