As a golfer with very high swing speed and a case of the chronic hook, this lesson is amazing. I can 100% identify with feeling stuck, leaving the face open and pushing a fade/slice out to the right. Late in the round as my body gets tired and my hands engage more, that becomes a duck hook. The hands turn over to compensate and my entire long game is gone. This lesson is amazing to put into words and visual what my body has felt for years. Thank you!

I appreciate you taking us all on your road to pro journey and you keep raising the bar for how good you can ultimately be. Not sure there is a limit as you keep getting better with the more you learn. This new coach seems to really be helping you fine tune your swing and helps us as well.

Insane how when you see the before swing on the driver at first glance everything appears to be great. Then after the changes the new swing looks incredible and makes the before swing flaws really show. The nerd side of golf like this is so gooood!

Man this video helped me more than anything I've seen or heard from any instructor. The way he explained the correct swing path really opened my eyes to what I'm doing wrong. My path has always been way inside and try to hold off the face and I have the push or I get handsy and flip a hook. I would always set up open and try to swing across it to get the the path correct. This really helped. Also was pushing the right knee forward in the downswing.

Man, just found this video by happenstance and so glad I did! I’m working on fixing my, what I call flat, backswing and swing plane on my driver and this video is a wonderful tip! Mine also was that I had too strong of a grip, right hand too far underneath on takeaway, and that led to a right away flattening of my backswing. Great stuff and thanks! Cheers.

Okay ill be honest... i see so many different "driver fixes" and none of them seem to work. I was clearly coming way too far from the inside and getting weak heel strikes that started right and kept going right. I took a few couch pillows and used them in place of the impact bag and literally fixed my swing in less than 10 minuets, WOW! Thanks for this upload my man!!!!!

Awesome video Micah more like this please!!! this lesson highlights how much talent you have it's not easy to make a change and have it stick at close to full speed even if it is in a simulator area! Good luck buddy keep on keeping on!!!! Gotta dial the wedges in with this change though! Thing that got me best was when I worked with Mike Bender during college he had a wedge range just look up what it is, but I put one in at my course I practiced at and I became deadly from inside 100 yards

Love this, Micah & Mike!!! I think this is a problem that low handicap players run into and it's hard to get back on top of the plane because we feel like we're going to slice it worse... when in reality, this neutralizes our swing and works like a charm! Cheers guys :)

This video is perfect. I have the almost exact same swing flaw and have been seeing an instructor to try and fix this. Before I used to have an Insane snap hook because I was so stuck and around 9 degrees In to out. We changed how I released the club and made it less active like your pattern and it became push fades/push slices. We have been working in blending a shallow feel and getting to my left almost the same way you are doing in this video by feeling wayyyy more upper body and its starting to be a perfect fade. Wish I had your speed though lmao. I am going to try a smash bag just like you did to help the path

Micha, as an aspiring teaching pro and someone who has similar swing speeds to you, this is amazing to see a personal lesson with someone that is such a high quality golfer not just another 15 handicap trying to break 80. I’m learning a lot about how to teach as well as how to make my own game better than what it is! Keep up the good work you are my favorite to watch on KZbin and maybe come visit me in Wisconsin at Whistling next year!

I watched the first half of the video regarding keeping the back foot on the ground until the follow through. I paused the video and went to the driving range. As a 7 marker, this has helped massively with contact, and not having that “lateral sway” on the take back, allowing your entire body to be in a strong position over the ball.

Unreal. Gonna brag to myself a little here, lol. I’ve been watching your swing, Micah, and have always thought that if you were able to bring your swing plane more adjusted forward in the downswing so that club wasn’t so far behind you, you would hit that thing even farther than you do already. This just confirmed for me that I can actually spot these things in other peoples swing. I worked my ASS off to correct my own issues by studying the biomechanics aspect of a perfect swing that would produce a dead straight ball flight. After doing all that research, I was amazed at what issues became quickly obvious in not only my own, but also other folks golf swing. This was a very cool video to what for me!! Thank you!! 👍🏻😎👍🏻

As a golf coach myself this is exactly what I’ve always said is wrong with your swing. This is an amazing video. As someone who’s done this myself. Make sure you go on the range and practice these drills outside. With noodles and such. That way your brain can start to develop the understanding and confidence outdoors… the body has a nervous system. And without training a new system. When ever you’re under stress you’ll end up reverting back to your habits/ so you have to train that out outdoors. Good luck! You got this!
