my theory is that the main character is sick of her basic boring life, getting average grades and so on, being jealous of the perfect life the blond girl had, good grades, a boyfriend and so on. She then starts to be willing to sacrifise her normal self to change herself into something more "perfect", wanting attention, you can see from some of the scenes that revealed her dairy entries. Plus, at the scene where she's sitting on her desk alone, it flashes and revealed a flower vase and in japan, when a student dies, they placed a white flower vase on their death to sort of "wish them peace". However, you can see that the flower she had wasn't white which shown that she still want attention even after death, and the amount of determination she had to even received attention and the amount of length she would to go to is terriflying...

I'm genuinely in love with this cover, the lyrics flow so well! I've been listening to you since your Cinderella cover, but your voice sounds so different from normal in this. Okay, so I’ve been listening to this on soundcloud since it cane out, and it’s gotten to the point where I physically cannot go about my day without commenting/saying how amazing this cover is. Covering a Guchiry song is nothing to sneeze at; they’re usually pretty fast paced & have some pretty rough vocal ranges - definitely more geared towards vocaloid than human utaites. So the fact that all throughout the song it sounds so natural - like it was practically made for you to cover - is such a mind-blowing experience. First of all, the lyrics. F*ckin scrum-diddley-umptious. The overall flow is really solid, and this translation is honestly one of the more accurate accurate covers i’ve heard when compared to the original. Also, RHYME SCHEME. This is more of a personal pet peeve & definitely not something that dictates how good a cover is, but I always get a bit put off by covers that don’t follow the original’s rhyme scheme (mainly just the chorus). Low and behold, that was one of the last things I was thinking whenever first listening to this cover. The main chorus’ rhymes line up with the original’s and partnered with your great lyrics, parts such as the intro/1st verse that have generally no rhymes sound so natural - which often doesn’t end up being the case for a lot of English covers due to wordy translations and other issues of the like. Secondly the voice. Beautiful. There are so many little details i’ve found when relistening to this cover that freaking scratch that itch in the brain just right. Here’s a few of my favorites: * The building intensity of your voice during the prechorus (0:54) that happens every other line, perfectly transitioning into the main chorus; an outcry of desperation & intense feelings of the MC/singer. * Everytime the word “Clothes” is sung. I don’t know what the hell you do with your voice at those specific moments, but it’s 👌😌 *chef’s kiss* * The really growly voice moments that make me remember how f*cking gay I am. Especially in the main chorus with lines like “My *average* clothes”…”*Butterfly* born anew, I’ll show everything in all it’s *glory* for you.”…”*1* 2 3” etc. * The frantic, husky whispered tone throughout the 2nd verse (1:39) really helps give a distinct feel to that part of the song compared to other sections - very fitting as that part is all a dream the MC has that kickstarts their obsession with abnormality. * The variation of lyrics in the breakdown before the final chorus (2:40) is a nice touch that I haven’t seen done before! Honestly, i think it does a better job portraying the MC’s decent into insanity than the original as the variety of intrusive thoughts feels more realistic and tempting. It also plays off the previous scene - the MC talking to the mirror & their reflection - by alluding to a call and response in the 4 lines that are repeated; the first 3 lines, “Just lose it. Hey, lose it. Let’s lose it.”, all call to the MC to indulge before the MC responds with, “I’ll lose it” and does as told. Overall, it has a much more subtle obtrusiveness compared to the original that’s still quite effective in breaking down the MC. Anyways, sorry for writing out a whole @ss novel. I’ve literally had the draft of this comment in my notes for at least a week or so, and only decided to post it now. Phenomenal work, MICCHI! Definitely my favorite cover of ADG & probably of all your covers too. Can’t wait to hear what you cook up next. I do love me some PinnochioP & Ado ;)
