Personally those kinds subtitles are really painful for me. I need subtitles for accessibility reasons and the "prettier" subtitles are with motion effects and colors, the more difficult it is for people who *need* captions to use them as intended. It might seem insignificant to those who don't deal with visual issues (due to blindness or visual processing issues), but it really is important that the subtitles don't move and stay the same color. Additionally, the effects on the subtitles don't work on all devices, so depending on what you're using to watch, you might not be able to see the subtitles at all. I appreciate the work that goes into them- they are quite pretty to look at. But ultimately, subtitles are an *accessibility tool*. Not an art form. That's what video editing is for.

I don't know how many people know the true meaning of the song, but it's actually kinda sad. The girl (her name is Tame) is upset with her below average grades which she gets no matter how hard she tries. Nanamiya (The blonde) is the top of their class or close too. Tame becomes severely infatuated with Nana, wanting to be with her and be her. Tames class mocks her causing her to go numb. When she's looking in the mirror she tells herself to go crazy. Or "accept" who she is and what these thoughts tell her to do. When she becomes a "butterfly" at the end it's her committing su!ci!de. A "brand new me." I harshly relate to this song.

But I wouldn’t say that it’s entirely a cash grab since she did work on the lyrics on herself. And to be fair the lyrics do stay true to the original though it’s not as catchy as Micci’s - I love the rhyme scheme on the chorus though! And Andy’s riff during the interlude is a very good translation of Gurchiry’s electric rock to band. It’s unfortunate though that he sacrificed the beat drop since now it’s not as dramatic as before. But as a band cover he can’t really make it too extreme because then it will step into heavy rock territory. I think a way to work around this issue is if Juby dropped her autotune and went for a more raw and layered vocal for this song, since her smooth voice really does not suit the band genre. Refer to Giita’s band cover of Lost Kitten which takes a very smooth sounding song into an emotional wreck.

This has to be her worst musical crime. Not only did she utterly disrespect every single thing that makes ADG so good- but she did it in the worst way. From the instrumental to the vocals everything mashes horribly when in comparison to the actual og. The tone in comparison to the lyrics is grating at best, for a song about going insane her forced voice matches it horribly. And also, her translation sucks. The line ‘a cute butterflu’ has to piss me off the most, given Judy’s entire thing is forced cuteness it’s not unexpected but dear god. ADG is ABOUT being abnormal. It’s not cute it’s a song about mental illness. it’s in the damn name?? Her forcing her cute bias onto the lyrics can only be seen as a disrespect to the artists original vision, people who suffer from the mental illnesses ADG portrays, and to the cover community. There’s so many other lines that make me feel the same. It’s almost impressive her ability to make songs not flow at ALL because this lacks any resemblance to musical lyric flow. I absolutely love the song and the cover Juby did but it feels a lot less intense. On parts like “Go Go Go Insaneeee” 2:20 it feels dull and emotionless when compared to other covers. An aside, the Closed Captions (CCs) are fantastic. Whoever created them did an amazing job, I love the way they turn different colours, pulsing, I guess, and just look so... amazing from 2:50 - 3:10 . This song… Insanity. All of Juby’s cover have something. I am a person who loves giving my characters trauma. “Angst” as you’ll say it. Miss wanna die already hit too close to home bringing back the struggle of having people like that around me every day. And this insanity? I can relate. I am an outcast. Part of my own group of weirdos. But with everything going on with my friends and traumatizing characters for coping is a lot. A night or 2 ago I went a little crazy thinking. It was scary. If anybody is curious about the meaning you can google it but i will copy and paste! This song is about a girl named Mene. Mene is unhappy with her average grades. When Mene sees her classmate Miya get perfect grades seemingly without trying, she thinks that this type of perfection is abnormal and tries to become more like her. Mene tries to act more like Miya and tries even harder to become "Abnormal", and gets to the point of envy where she falls in love Miya, realizing it during the dream sequence. But then Mene realizes that she'll never be with/like Miya. Mene finally snaps, and becomes a butterfly, a metaphor in the song for committing suicide. Her death is reflected earlier on in the PV where a vase of flowers is sitting on her desk ( 1:44 ) , a common tradition in Japan when a student has passed away. While the song and PV heavily imply that Mene is dead, Guchiry has not confirmed this. Mene's fate remains unknown.

I love this cover! It has a different feeling, because of the instrumental, but i like it! I feel like in the original, you could feel how chaotic her thoughts were, but with this one, you just realise how alone she really is. Your vocals work really well with this song!

in the original song theres a part that says something alike "I'm not being manipulated" which can be taken as a like... "being controlled" I suppose that part means like Theres no one controlling them. "Nobody washing my brain" is literally what it means, brainwash : a forcible indoctrination to induce someone to give up basic political, social, or religious beliefs and attitudes and to accept contrasting regimented ideas or well, persuasion.

With all due respect to Juby and everyone who worked on this, the cover was not it for me. The instrumental would sound amazing on its own (and if I had never heard the original I’d most likely say the same about the work overall), but it really doesn’t fit the song. It sounds so bland compared to the original, the same goes for Juby’s singing. I understand that it’s not supposed to be a 100% copy of the original, but imo it seems to lack the core elements of the overall meaning. Abnormality Dancing Girl is all about emotion, energy, insanity, and despair. Unfortunately, I don't see/feel those elements here. Either way, it’s still an interesting take. Looking forward to new songs!
