Exactly. Brilliantly put. We must fix our own societies and stop them from falling apart before we go out in search and fight monsters. I will happily sacrifice a part of Ukraine in order to close our borders and reignite a positive spirit in the British people.

@@latteoatmeal7807 why tho? Why are you so passionate about defending a country that shares almost zero of our values? They banned opposition party’s nationalised all the media , banned the Russian language from being used in public institutions (it’s why the break away regions originally protested and eventually broke away) that’s not Russian propaganda that was mainstream opinion until the war started. Ukraine isn’t a freedom loving , progressive conservative nation. It was and is still one of the most corrupt (systemically) nations on earth. I don’t care who wins but I don’t think we should spend a penny while are borders are open and our people are on the streets

Did the British Parliamentary Conservative Party have any input into this superb Conference? Or is it like the Roman Catholic Church: where the 'hierarchy' is increasingly divorced from the average lay-person? The current Cabinet is uniformly Globalist-Communist: and appears to have a completely different view of 'conservatism' from that which I have heard in all these addresses: and I know which I prefer: and which is better for the Nation. Does this Conference have ANY 'influence' over the WEF Commissars in Number Ten? What of the Civil Service?

Great lecture! Just noting: there is a big difference between ethics and morality, morality being a junior child to ethics. Strength comes from truth, which permits the foundation Ethics. Every lie is an act of cowardice. I regard the triumvirate Ancient Greek philosophers as senior to Sir Winston Churchill, but I have no doubt he read them.
