Next thing you know G Baby gets a bullet to the chest. But the fact I liked Michael B. Jordan in that movie and followed him ever since up to now in Black Panther amazes me how fat he has come

People, there is a BIG difference between dating outside of your "race" because of self-hate and dating outside of your "race" because you grew up in a multicultural enviornment where the racial construct isn't a big factor... This man does not strike me as someone who hates himself or black women... hating on him for not dating or married to a black woman is ridiculous.
@serious71796 жыл бұрын
serious Absolutely agree... as a black woman, I know what you're talking about, and I also grew up in a multicultural society where I had the opportunity to date people from different racial groups and countries, so my preference has never been a black or white man... it's just because of my upbringing, I can appreciate love and beauty in all ethnic groups (but the dude has to have swag, though, and it seems like black and italian men got the corner market on that lol:-). I've ended up married to a wonderful black man, but I never pigeon-holed myself to black men, and I'm happy to see that some black women are waking up and seeing that black men aren't the only men on the face of the planet lol.. if we're open to love regardless of color, we'll find love.

The truth is Black women prefer Black men, but Black men do NOT prefer Black women. Black women should not take these things personally. If we want to empower and better Black people we should teach Black pride and not teach colorism and preference of non-African features over our own. If we do this, then in time things will change with in our community. There is nothing wrong with him dating a non-Black person. I think that some individuals felt a way, because they saw it as another example of preference of others over our own or as some individuals say: "The Interracial Dating Agenda." Yes, that's a real term that is being used. However, in Hollywood there aren't that many Black women compared to other groups in the demographic. And then you consider the amount of dark skinned women who are NOT in Hollywood. Men in Hollywood mostly see non-Black and light skinned women most of their day. Black women should not take it personal. I can't wait to see the movie. Movies with a majority cast excite me.

Be specific. This is an issue that affects the African American community. Nigerian men prefer Nigerian women. Somali men prefer Somali women. African American men have to step up.
@roguee5297 жыл бұрын
I think that is true. I'm Jamaican and even though there is a lot of preference for non-African features, there isn't that much discrimination for African features. In America it feels like the idea is less African is great and African is bad. Where as in other Black populations it's not that African is bad, it's just that their is a high acceptance or preference for less African. I think that it is a cultural difference. You can't just let the bigger population influence you that much.

I understood his character. And believe me this impact on the African-American just does not happen to the male but also the female. @christopherharley90647 жыл бұрын
Alondra Nevaeh, having an esthetic preference doesn't make one a racist. Someone discriminating against or feeling superior to another because of his or her race makes that someone a racist. Michael B. is dating a white woman, and some may disapprove, but it's morally questionable to hold someone accountable for something he or she personally had nothing to do with. At what point do we all recognize individuals as individuals? I think there will always be racism as long as we think of one another in terms of race.

What Ebro is Missing out is in the black culture it is bred to have self hate and ppl date outside their race cuz many dont love themselves or feel dating/marrying will improve their status or childs status erasing what they didnt love about themselves. If thats the case that kid is moving further and further away from their black identity. Its not a coincidence that when black ppl get poppin that they tend to date outside their race.

The entire movie kilmonger is hell bent of ending white supremacy but they don't get how interracial dating at least with white people is a problem?? Loving the people you're trying to overthrow is the dumbest thing you can do. No one is racist for wanting to stay in their race black, white or whatever. How are we going to have a real wakanda if half of us are in interracial relationships? Stop being dishonest if you want to date Interracially go out and do it but don't expect your pro black card when you do it, and don't expect black people to be behind you.

I'm guessing you fall into that category? Just asking

Dame Luz but she's not white tho.. so, relax 😴

Maybe because they're the majority and there's all kinds of white women? Idk. Never dated one.

They are really annoying me, they keep cutting off his answers,jumping question from question without him explaining. This is their job and they want to talk more than the person their interviewing, what’s the point of interviewing.
