@TheRexrapper He has talent. There's a reason why people argue bout whether D.Rose or Beasley should be the No. 1 pick during the 08 draft. It's obvious who should we choose now, but how bout then? Could be an All-Star if he improves shot selection, attitude and DEFENSE.
@TheRexrapper13 жыл бұрын

All jumpers though, he need to develop a low post game to take advantage when they put a small, quicker player on him. If he can develop that, plus some D and rebounding he can be a potential all-star, hope he gets it done in Phoenix.

Yes, Beasley has bottomed out this season. A career low in minutes is obviously going to bring down his efficiency. But I'm not even talking about this year...last year he was coming off a 19 ppg season and should have been the second option on offense without question. Adelman admitted he has never been a fan of guys like Mike(Ex: T-Mac in Houston) and cut his minutes in half following his injury.

The best way to get the best out of Beasley is to post him up... NO PLAYER IN THE NBA CAN STOP MICHAEL BEASLEY IN THE POST. I Dont mean big man post... I mean let him start with his back to the defender so he can decide whether to really post, and back them down, or square up and either take them off the dribble, or hit them with that sweet mid range J.
@TheRexrapper12 жыл бұрын
Good stuff. I agree. I have never seen anyone with his athleticism settle for so many jump shots. He needs to drive more. I think he should play in the post more. He has the size to bully most small forwards in the post. He also needs to become a better play maker instead of playing one on one basketball. BUT I wouldn't be surprised at all if he got his shit together this season.

I can't tell whether you're being sarcastic asking what confidence means so I'm just gonna leave that one alone. And dude, I never said he was a great player in 10-11, I said he was their second best player and looking at that roster you'd be mental not to agree. I'm not even one of those typical fans who won't listen to a word of the truth because I like a player so much. If he's actually playing poorly, I'll admit it.

Here's the argument you were making. Donald Trump invests $1,000,000 and he makes $1,200,000 in income, for a profit of $200,000. Some average guy invests $100,000 and makes $500,000 off of it. Who made the better investment? Is this analogy simple enough for you? Do you understand that the A's were able to be competitive despite having a payroll that was, at times, 25% of their chief rivals', the Yankees and Red Sox? Do you get this?

He's having a terrible season this year, for example, and it's entirely his fault. He didn't produce when given the playing time to do so and deserves to be warming the bench. I also understand that at this point in his career it's going to be difficult to shy away from the "bust" talks. He's not that great of a player, I'm not stupid. All I'm saying is if you actually watch a player play as opposed to just looking up averages, you understand a lot more the contributions they make to a team.
@yahstino11 жыл бұрын
You've got to be kidding. You think going from being a valuable member of a team to being 100% expendable doesn't deter a player's confidence? Lamar Odom is a prime example. Also, when I mentioned his ppg I assumed you knew how efficiently he got those points. It's becoming more and more apparent that you don't actually watch the sport, you just read about it. Go out and see a game why don't you, Katie Couric. It'll change your life.
@yahstino11 жыл бұрын
I understand that stats are a very important part of the game, but a true NBA fan can provide an all-around analysis of a player. I don't think a single one of your responses has been without a random statistic. You're not convincing and it's tough to have a legitimate conversation with you with your clear bias.

Really? Then why do I always hear the most respected NBA minds speak on confidence and it's effects on a player's shot selection and overall performance night in and night out? Are you just looking for an argument, Katie Couric? Do you remember why you started this? You said that Id' have to be delusional to think he was the second best player on the wolves. I ask why and you just start throwing numbers my way, making it all too clear you didn't watch any wolves games last season.

He hasn't been a good rebounder in the NBA, his career average is only 5.6 rpg, which aint bad but he needs to up that to at least 7 or 8 rpg if he wants to be an all star. His low post game aint that good, it's mostly face up moves or jumpers, he needs to develop some low post moves to take advantage of his size when they put smaller players on him. Melo even as a rookie was a better rebounder than Beasley is, offensively their games are similar though.

The Heat will take the NBA!! Once again!!! For the third time.
@pseudonym364012 жыл бұрын
Beasley can score, but he takes too many pull-up long twos. That is a very inefficient way to score. He doesn't get to the rim or shoot free throws as often as he should, as wings with his strength and ball-handling ability are rare. He would also be better off turning some of those long twos into three balls. Beasley has a lot of potential, but I am not sure he helps his team win
@mskcouric11 жыл бұрын
Have you ever read the book Moneyball by Michael Lewis? If you haven't, you should. For about eighty years, the "most respected" MLB minds -- including general managers and veteran scouts -- couldn't figure out why BA and RBI and pitcher W are terrible stats. Do you really want to do this "argument from authority" nonsense?
