I remember watching this as a kid and wondering how Family Matters had the budget and technology to make a robot. It wasn't til years later when I saw a re-run on ABC family that I realized its just a dude doing 'the robot' really well

Hmm i just had a thought. Steve created a robot and based many of its behavioral patterns off of himself, his brain in a way. This robot has artificial intelligence that apparently doubles every 18 minutes and 35 seconds and quickly gained the capacity to turn itself on and off. And it seems to develop an oedipus complex with Steve and his love Laura. With all that in mind, in this episode it is very fortunate that Steve was able to take out Urkel-bot, otherwise it is quite possible that Urkel-bot could've become Ultron.
