This was Buble at his best. A modest accompaniment, and singing classics.

See the pyramids along the Nile See the sunrise on a tropic isle Just remember darlin' all the while You belong to me See the market place in Old Algiers Send me photographs and souvenirs Just remember when a dream appears You belong to me I'll be so alone without you Maybe you'll be lonesome too, and blue Fly the ocean in a silver plane See the jungle when it's wet with rain Just remember 'til you're home again You belong to me Fly the ocean in a silver plane See the jungle when it's wet with rain Just remember 'til you're home again You belong to me

Buble is an amazing singer who knows a classic when he rehashes or makes his own. He's a diamond in the rough and to quote Marilyn Monroe "diamonds are a girls best friend."

Beautiful version of this 1952 song! (BRAZIL) /// Versão bonita desta música de 1952! (BRASIL).
@davesjenn37277 жыл бұрын
To answer the question of who owned this song, it was Jo Stafford. Her rendition came out on Aug 1/52 and became the #1 song in the US and then shortly after, in the UK. Other top stars did covers of it around the same time and several other years later. Jo's recording, her biggest hit, has always been regarded as the quintessential version of this great old standard and still is today. Jo's voice was inarguably the greatest in musical history. She had perfect pitch and an unmatched clarity and richness that's a lost art today. Thankfully Michael Buble is keeping this style of true singing alive. A lot of today's young people today haven't a clue what constitutes a good voice and a good song. Hip hop and particularly rap isn't music, it's spoken word set to music. After educating yourself to who the torch singers were, go to KZbin and listen to them. You'll be amazed at not just the singers, but what wonderful lyrics they sang. And note you can hear every word as clear as a bell, which can't be said for 99% of the crap turned out today and for the past several decades.
