This is myyyy sonnngggg!!! I can listen to it all day long….. As a matter of fact I played this song on repeat for about an hour while driving and would’ve continued but I had to get out of my car.Her pleading voice sounding both strong and vulnerable at the same time. I wish that I could have been there live to experience this. So nice. My favorite song by Carly. This just never gets old.

I discovered Carly in 1992 when I stole my brothers Carly Simon’s tape and played it over and over learning every song while driving to college for the first time. This entire album is imbedded in my head as a 18 year old (class of 1992). The world was my blank slate. The beauty in these performances helped expand on it. Thank you for this beautiful music. I’m 47 now. Still enjoy it :)

Class of '91 here. I grew up with my mother's vinyl collection & was taught how to use/respect the vinyl from an early age. She had (and STILL has 😂) a decent collection, good turntable that I've kept up over the years & several Carly albums in the mix. Growing up I would spin her records on occasion but sadly (and stupidly on my part) was into the more mainstream pop & metal as I got older. Don't ask me how but lately it's been a total rediscovery trip for me & now she's like a drug, can't get enough! I'd rank this whole disc up there with the very, very best of live performances by ANYONE. You can always get a good idea of true vocal talent by how close a singer sounds to the studio album while adding in their own little touches to make a live performance something special. I'm blown away by how true to form she sounds, pure, soulful & technically accurate, no tricks/autotune here. Needless to say gorgeous too 😍 We have lived in the time of vocal giants!

my dad helped her with the solo performance anxiety; she had done all this great work with her sister, they won awards as The Singing Simon Sisters. But going solo was a tough jump for her and came with a lot of high expectations, especially as sales soared and the venue size magnified repidly. My dad is Buzzy Linhart also a singer-songwriter-musician - he wrote and also sang on The Love's Still Growing on her first album. No doubt Carly had (and has) her own unique talent and sound and became a very good live perfomer as well.
