Yes, it is full of a shit. I remember in the 90s when the rumor started. And as a young girl, I had the sense to know that why would he say that when all of his campaigns were full of diversity. He had Tyrese, Aliyah, Usher, and Kadida Jones in his campaigns. If he didn't want black people to wear his clothes, he wouldn't have market to them. Tommy Hilfiger also helped Sean Combs launch his fashion line. I'm surprised he didn't speak up to his defense when this started. However, there is another rumor that Fubu actually started the rumor to take him out of the market. Guess karma is a bitch, because Tommy is still around but Fubu is not.

Jonathans_ Fun-Zone I grew up in the 90’s and I heard people say the same thing. The truth is, on Oprah he said when he created his label he didn’t intend for African Americans to be the ones that brought his clothes to the forefront of pop culture.. or to some effect. He’s not racist though, he hand picks his models.. (at least he did back then) so Tyrese, Tyson Beckford, Beyonce’ and other black Tommy models have been hand picked by the man himself.
