The two guys are shoveling some of the best playing there is to be found anywhere to this audience. This audience is very lucky to get to hear fiddle and mandolin skill of this caliber.

PFFft, and everyone says you have to worry about your bow hold! Michael needs to add his to the collection, clearly this works well. You are up there with the Greatest of musicians Michael - Well done both of you.

We heard Michael and Jesse play this at a house concert in Washington state. It does not get better than that.

Jesse is great. Chris Thile is just some kind of out of this world freak when he plays.

This is a tough SOB to play normally. Once you get it no problem. But that can take a LOT of practice. He is out of this world good on here.

As wonderful as Michael is on this or any performance of this tune you need to realize the real deal here is Jesse Brock on the mando. For anyone not familiar with the challenges of playing fiddle tunes on any plectrum instrument I can assure you this mando performance was outstanding, the degree of difficulty on this especially notey version at that speed is beyond difficult and he nailed it.

imagine a dobro playing along... that'd be superhuman

Absolutely agree, Targetter1. Jesse Brock is one of the best.
