I am very glad to see this clip and thanks for uploading it. For myself I will say that Michael is great at his job; knows he's been blessed with a tremendous gift; and appreciates hard work and how he could have still been the chap digging ditches if he hadnt been so determined to do something better for himself. Irish dance is all the better for it and you cant take that away from him. For once its great to see someone whose talent is more than equal to their confidence

I like how this video shows his entire body head-to-toe for almost every shot, with not too much cutting (and no shots of the audience). Seems like a simple idea, but too many "dance" videos (especially the moronic "Britain's Got Talent") show more of the audience that the dancers.

and through out the performance there are also refferences to "warlords" and "planet ireland"

false, the references are: first piece of, of Fire, warlords, final step of Cry Of The Celts, and the music: victory
@RJA_World2 жыл бұрын
@@nicolasmoralestorres7301 The First group dance is definitely a rough version of warlords and the last group dance is definitely a rough version of victory. There's no obvious references to cry of celts, though.

It's just what you like. For me, I find that Flatley is always a bit over the top. It could also be that I just like the traditional style more (what the girls are doing) because of the fact I see it in class everytime ;) Colin Dunne, one of Flatley's replacements in the Riverdance shows, is my all-time favourite ;)

Don't forget that what you see here is VERY modern Irish dance, or as some people call it, 'macho-irish dance' When you search for a school the first thing you will be taught is the fact that you have to keep your arms straight. But besides that, it could be you have all the fun in the world: age isn't so much of a problem (or at least, it isn't here, I'm 24 now and I started lessons about 10 months ago...)
