USA fans! Lord of the Dance's Impossible Tour video is getting picked up by more and more public TV stations around the country!
Last night the video aired in Chicago, Philadelphia, Indianapolis, and Topeka -- and in December, it's scheduled to air in Los Angeles, Dallas, Boston, Detroit, Miami, Cleveland, Sacramento, Charlotte, San Antonio, Columbus, Kansas City, Austin, Greenville-Spartanburg, Milwaukee, Albuquerque, Providence, Buffalo, Tucson, Omaha, Columbia, Savannah, Charleston, Burlington, Myrtle Beach, Lincoln-Hastings, Ft. Wayne, Johnstown-Altoona, Augusta, Sioux Falls, Fargo, Youngstown, Minot-Bismarck, Rochester (MN), Lima, Eureka, Cheyenne, and Casper-Riverton.
The Impossible Tour showcases the new generation of the greatest Irish dance team in the world facing the ultimate trial by fire: a huge Feet of Flames stadium tour filmed at the height of the global pandemic, with a troupe more than fifty-percent new that had less than three days of group rehearsal before opening night (two of which weren't even on the stage set) -- and a camera crew for one night only to film the raw magic live as it happened.
American audiences first discovered Michael Flatley and Lord of the Dance via public television in 1996, nearly a full year before the show ever toured American soil. Today, the biggest-selling dance show of all time is currently celebrating 25 years of standing ovations -- and while we've drip-fed clips of the Impossible Tour to LOTD social media, American audiences are the first to see it on TV (and gain access to the DVD of the full show, as a public TV pledge reward).
There are now so many cities and stations broadcasting the show that we don't have enough room to list out the full December broadcast schedule here. So if you want to find out exactly when and on what stations the Impossible Tour video is set to broadcast in December, click on this American Public Television link and search by ZIP code: aptonline.org/catalog/MICHAEL...
(And if you don't see your city on the list? Call your local station and ask them to carry the Impossible Tour video!)
If you've seen the Impossible Tour video on TV in the US already, let us know in the comments below how you enjoyed it. Planet Ireland arises!
