This man is nearly 73, I hope I look half as good with a memory half as good and I would be doing well when I reach 73. Love your interviewing style Terry, you don't talk over the guest , you try and let the chat flow, whilst probing in a way we can see into the character. Enjoyed the way Michael did not oversell the life and showed the good and bad side of such a life.

@@stevenking8884Michael a fraud??? LMFAO!!! Micheal was the highest earning Mobster in the Mob since alcohol prohibition in the 1920’s. He was bringing in $8-$10 million dollars a week in cash in the late 70’s and 80’s. This happened for about 8 years. He was kicking up about $2 million dollars a week to Persico Jr. Micheal is the furthest thing from a fraud. He was a Capo,Captain,in the Columbo crime family and his dad was the Underboss under Joe Columbo and Tom DeBella. Micheal is the real deal.

The NY families surprisingly had very little to do with Las Vegas (Besides Myer Lansky but he eventually moved to Miami). It was actually Florida, New Orleans, Chicago & Detroit families (Milwaukee & St. Louis were represented under them) which had invested heavily into Casino's. Drawing upon their prior experience with gambling operations in Cuba. Using their control of The Teamster's Union Pension fund as well as delegates of various construction & hospitality Locals.

Michael is great I could listen to him for 6 hours!! When Dougie comes out of jail he may want to come on and do a part 2, you never know. If he does he can answer the various questions that people have raised in the comments of that episode and we can go into the details of the crime he committed and the aftermath.

Absolutely loved this, these guys are different to our gangs on a whole, they have morals to an extent but also brutal if u step out of line, that guy who shot himself in the phone box and didn't trust his lifelong friend bcz of how they do things, poor bloke, and the best advice from this guy was your better off being legit nowadays, way to much technology and it's literally a matter of time before your caught.
