My co-worker's husband hung out with Micheal J. Fox when he was growing up in Burnaby, British Columbia. They just happened to be on the same hockey team and were really good friends for a short time. Knowing that one of the most well known movie characters (in one of the best movie trilogies ever made) was played by a Canadian actor just fills me up with pride.

I hate to say this, because Back To the Future (1,2,3) were my childhood, but Michael J Fox is a blessing in disguise. Marty McFly was my hero as a child and to see what this horrible disease can do to such a wonderful person makes me very sad, but then I think of all the wonderful charities, events, etc Mr. Fox does, and I hope there may be a day where I get to see my childhood hero reprise his role on the big screen!!! Poor Michael. He was my fave when I was a kid. I still remember how ecstatic I was when he came to New Zealand to make The Frighteners. I hoped I might by chance see him out and about lol. I had a severe stroke when I was a kid and live with constant spasms and pain as a result, so I can sort of sympathise as to a bit of what he lives with. I'm just glad he's still popping up here and there. Him in Curb Your Enthusiasm was classic!

I love Michel J Fox. He's like my most beloved person. The best thing I love about him is you can see/feel his true self coming through the his illness. Even through his struggles I feel your are a better more well rounded person now...I wish you the best Mr. Marty Michel J Fox.
